Next step: Moltmann

Hey, saw this link on Twitter and it seemed relevant to this discussion. How to get Mountain Lion to work in VMware: either don't instal the VMware Tools, or follow these instructions. http://www.robservatory.com/?p=809

My point is that the L4 track record has been a development team creating a platform from scratch. When you're doing that, you just flat out don't have the resources to do much more than the basics. Once that platform is finished, however, those development resources that have been focused on creating the engine and underlying elements will be freed
You're right, Larry. Logos can't handle the pace that OSX advances. We must all just assume that Logos will be way behind all over software development. If you can't abide that, you are best to get off the train now because there is nothing that points to them suddenly being able to do this.
I don't know about

You make a solid point. I'm in at $15, and if it turns out that it doesn't integrate with Biblical Places I'll just return it.

How well would Travel Through Bible Lands integrate into Biblical Places in L4? I can't see myself reading through any of these but if they provide good reference material that's easily accessible through the tools I already use, they could be worth having.

I'm about 99% sure that enabling the new Lion features doesn't have to break backwards compatibility. I'm not too worried, I'm happy enough with the workarounds, but it would definitely be nice. I'm actually more excited about gestures than fullscreen.
1. It always wanted to install additional software when it updated. 2. It tried to update too frequently. 3. It put a shortcut on my desktop without asking: it's my desktop, to put there what I like, not what software writers want to put there. 4. Perhaps it is being a PC user, I found the whole user interface unfamiliar

http://www.logos.com/product/16635/disciplinary-decrees-of-the-general-councils-text-translation-and-commentary $10 now, and I bet we could get it to $8 or below by Friday. This looks to be a useful collection of documents for anyone interested in history of doctrine, and for a steal of a price.

Be sure you've updated to the latest version of iOS. There were some changes in 5.0.1 relating to storage and backup ( this post provides more detail on what it fixed, see the update at the bottom).

I think you guys are taking too loose a hermeneutical approach to the word "launch". It's pretty clear that Logos bought and refurbished a decommissioned space shuttle from NASA.
Ditto. You put these books in pre-pub and they'll go 100% in a few hours. Are you listening Bob?
Quoted for truth.

I put together a quick comparison of a few Greek fonts, using 1 Corinthians 6:12-13 from NA27 as the sample. This screenshot was taken on a Mac, so YMMV if you're on Windows (the two operating systems antialias fonts differently). For my money, I'm sticking with Gentium or Palatino. I think I like Gentium a bit better for Greek, but Palatino is my favorite

Hip Hop Redemption looks really good, especially for free! Definitely a step above the Amish Romance novels...

I think this is a little much to ask. Community Pricing is already pretty generous, and it takes some time for people to wrap their heads around the system as it is. Doing something like this would be a big development effort, would increase the system's complexity, and would only yield a few dollars in savings for us bidders.

Thirded. This would be perfect for taking notes while reading. The word "frictionless" comes to mind.

The 30th has come and gone and I still haven't heard anything about my Christmas Credit, nor do I see it in my account page. Anyone else in this boat?
