• Re: Help drive this CP down! (Galatians upgrade CC series)

Ah, the perennial curse of CP. It's a very logically and efficiently designed system, but I'd imagine less than half its users understand its bidding mechanics.
not all of us are computer savvy, I had no idea how primitive this new computer was--I bought it only a year ago! Kudos to the members who know better.
That's an understandable and common problem, I don't blame you for not knowing. It's why we asked for specifics.

I'll add one more thing. Logos has published system requirements . Under no circumstances should it be expected to run with less than 1 GB of RAM—the published minimum is 2! There's no conspiracy here. Logos Bible Software 5 | System Requirements Windows - Minimum: 1.4Ghz Intel or AMD Processor 2GB RAM Windows Vista SP2 DVD-ROM drive (only required
Of course not, I was blowing steam. However, if they did not fix the problem, I would have stopped purchasing Logos software. The problem pertained to a RAM issue, and I plan to upgrade the RAM to about a gig, which should speed up the program. My next computer needs a separate video card, which should also help speed up
The problem has been solved according to my satisfaction; the tech support's higher tier knew what they were doing, unlike the lower tier that didn't. Secondly, I beg to differ. If a lot of people have problems with Logos indexing, they need to seriously look at that. The whole world is not crazy. Thirdly, having someone

What does it normally run quickly and efficiently? Logos is a powerful piece of professional software. A computer that can run Microsoft Word and a web browser without any trouble can't necessarily

Thank you so much for sharing the original process, it's been invaluable to me! I owe you a beer if you're ever in Pasadena.

Time to resurrect this wonderful guide! I've found recently that, as it turns out, the entire Sigil step can be cut out of this process. Calibre is capable of detecting and creating the table of contents all on its own. In the conversion options in Calibre, go to the Table of Contents page and manually set the XPath expressions for the various levels
Makes sense... Maybe a philosophy tag?
I second this, especially since Noet is introducing more philosophical works into Logos. Probably a single tag would work for now, but at some point it might worth splitting philosophers into eras or schools.
