Jeff, Do you get a crash report log? If you could send that to me directly, that would be great. The Indexer log has no errors (so it doesn't appear to be the problem). The Logos4 log doesn't give me an error report. Thanks, Tom
-
Jack, Sorry to leave your last posts unanswered. We are trying to stay on top of the fourms. Please attach your logs in this thread and I'll get an email when you post. Thanks, Tom
-
Stephen, Are you running Mac OSX 10.5 or 10.6? Logos 4 is not supported on earlier versions of Mac OS X. Tom

The app should auto update, but you can always download the latest release from: http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LBS4MacInstaller/Logos4Mac.dmg Logos 4 Mac – Alpha 3 Change Log Initial Startup • Alpha 3 will take slightly longer “Preparing your library…” on the first startup while it rediscovers all Logos 4 resources and rebuilds some indexes to correct
-
Steven, You're right. A2 is confused. A3 is right around the corner and it will fix this issue. Tom
-
Steven, you need to type "launchctl remove com.logos.LogosIndexer" on its own line (with no quotes of course). Note the 'l' in launchctl is lower case. Tom

We've discovered a bug in the startup of the app that may prevent you from getting past the Logging In.. stage on Alpha 2. We've got a fix for the next Alpha, but in the mean time, this should get you going. Try this work around and let us know if it helps. Open "Terminal" from Applications > Utilities Type the following two commands: rm ~/Library/com
-
Ross, The only thing I can say is sit tight. I wouldn't recommend deleting your Logos4 folder from Library/Application Support/. We're working on fixing indexer/downloading bugs as fast as we can. The next alpha will be better as we've identified several issues in the last few days. For now, you'll just have to cancel the indexer whenever it tries to
-
Mike, Now that we've got your logs, you're free to try and start over. We're working on lots of stability fixes, and this is definitely on the list. Tom
-
Michael, There are some problems with hiding the home screen automatically when it is displayed. If you click the Home button to hide the home screen, the resource should display correctly. If there's still an issue, send us another screen shot and we'll take a look. Tom
-
Michael, Can you tell me 1) what version of the alpha are you using? Click "About Logos Bible Software 4" under the Logos Bible Software 4 menu and paste the string (4.0.3.XXXXX). The latest version is 4.0.3.2697. 2) Whether you're on Snow Leopard or Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.5)? 3) Can you post a screen shot of the issues you're seeing? The "Grab

David, Thanks for the questions. Hopefully these responses will prove valuable. As for having 2 copies of your library, L4 is designed to run in parallel along side of LDLS 1.2. Your LDLS 1.2 resources live in /Library/Application Support/Libronix DLS/Resources and your Logos 4 resources live in /Library/Application Support/Logos 4/Data/y2cyq0lo.jcb
-
Bernie, A few questions: What resource does this happen in? Any one in particular? Are you able to produce this consistently? Thanks, Tom
-
Mike, This looks like a bug in the indexer. Can you post the full Indexer.log so that I can see exactly which resource is giving your trouble? Thanks, Tom
-
Nathan, The app shouldn't quit after the login screen. There have been quite a few bugs fixed between the first alpha release and the most current Alpha 2. Posting your Logos4.log and Indexer.log would help. You can see the instructions here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/3311.aspx That will give us a better picture of how we can help you. Tom
-
One thing you can try is to reboot your Mac. I know that sounds strange, but it may help in this case. If that doesn't help, please post your logs by clicking the "Insert Media" button and attaching the Indexer.log from "/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging/Indexer.log" and your Indexer plist which is at "/Users/ /LauchAgents/com.logos.LogosIndexer
-
Robin, I posted a work around to this in another thread, but I'll post it again here. When it says "Downloading 0% of XXX GB", click on the logos icon in the menu bar and select "Cancel Downloading". Wait a minute or so for the downloads to cancel (You won't see an indication, you'll just have to wait). If the icon is still there after about a minute

Thanks again Michael. We'll file a bug and figure out what's going on. Tom
-
Michael, Thanks for the bug report. We still have some Hebrew/Greek display issues, but we'll at Futato's resource to the list to make sure we check for completeness as it seems to be more problematic than others. Tom
-
Michael, We just found it too. I was about to post the work around and you beat us to it. We'll post a fix for this in the next Alpha. Tom
