I just want to say thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread/topic. Between the suggestions here, the rankings on Best Commentaries, and reading through other reviews, I was able to select many volumes that I believe will be a nice compliment to the other commentaries in my library. I also want to say thanks to Thomas

I would suggest getting a few $10 translations, the free resources, and recommend one good dictionary (the free Lexham one is actually ok), and a single volume commentary or study bible (the free Faithlife is decent if they want to save money there, but I would suggest the $40 New Bible Commentary). If they want to add an Atlas or something like that

Thanks for starting this thread. I'm not on the forums much, but specifically came to find recommendations on the volumes of the WBC series. Even at $10 a volume, don't know if I can afford more than a few at this point. I'm considering: Genesis, Ezra/Nehemiah, Daniel, Galatians, Colossians/Philemon, 1&2 Thess, Pastorals Maybe Hebrews too, but I have

after getting some German instruction (maybe Rosetta Stone would be enough) get this ( https://www.logos.com/product/48788/neue-genfer-ubersetzung-neues-testament-und-die-psalmen ) or another of the easier to read translations and go through scripture that you know well. I set up a reading plan to go through the Gospels in German in a year, which isn

I've been going through the DIY Bible Study on my iPad. I created a reading plan as was suggested in the introduction. The issue is that the banner that should tell you when you have completed the day's reading doesn't show up as they do on my other reading plans. This is my only reading plan that isn't based on a Bible resource, so I don't know if

When you sort the Library by Recent, Is there a way to see recently read books from your iPad/iPhone when you are on your computer (Mac) and/or vice versa ? I think it is syncing the recent order from my iPhone to my iPad.

Many thanks.

I can't figure out how to turn off highlighting from others. It's where there is a dashed line under the text and something like "5 people highlighted this". Thanks for any help.

This has been bugging me for awhile. I downloaded the new update today and the issue is still there. When I and scrolling through the library (now only when I scroll up) the words start to blur and then go really crazy (see screenshot). When I stop scrolling and hover over the entries they display normally again.

Seems like everyone has a unique opinion on how notes in Logos should work :) My 2 cents … I think the formatting options of the note text should be minimal and the developers should focus on organization of notes. The software shouldn't be a Word Processor replacement.
you can use the Favorites tool as a place to organize

I bought all the available For Everyone books with the March Madness Sale and have been going through the first volume on John's Gospel. Definitely try a sample to give you a taste of what to expect. For each pericope, Wright gives a modern illustration that relates to the point of the passage, which is helpful. With this series you get one good point

Thanks, Logos. Just updated. Here's a link to the Release Notes

There have been a couple volumes of the ICC set on for the Twitter daily deal lately. Maybe more from this set to come at 50% off?

I see it as for those who like sermon collections, as that's what this CP is about. My interest, however, in this collection are the three "How to Study the New Testament" titles. My bid ($20) isn't a winning bid at this point. Not convinced on the $30 price. All the previews for this CP aren't working for me on the Logos site. I've been looking at

What would be cool is if the publishers agreed to a discount for people who prove they bought a book (like with a receipt). Call it an "upgrade" to a paper+digital package. I would see Logos getting their full cut, and the publisher could take some cut, knowing they have already sold their product to this customer - it's not costing them any money
For example: how does one show a list of unread books which have the MyTag:Family and MyTag:Theology tags applied?
Ok, so I didn't think of that situation ... On the other hand, don't think the results for me "mytag:family AND theology ANDNOT read" (I think you can use this, btw) would ever be shorter than without the

Being a new user of Logos, I find that the Library is one of the least intuitive parts of the software. Thanks to this thread figured out My Tags. (So thanks everyone for bringing it to my attention!) This will definitely help me find my stuff quicker. I just made tags for: fav, read, reading. In my newbie opinion this takes care of (as someone already

Yep, that's it. Thanks!

I don't know if there is a simple way of doing this in Logos. I would like to put in a string of references and get the verses in specific Bible translations. Example, I want to type in: John 6:35, John 8:12, John 10:9, John 10:11, John 11:25-26, John 14:6, John 15:5 and get the results listed out, then be able to see the results in the ESV and GNT

I didn't take any snap shots, but I thought yesterday the $160 point was closer to the 80% gray stripe . Whatever the causes for the graph changing so drastically over the past week , getting another $10 off is great
