• No dynamic pricing for NICOT/NICNT?

Some day I dream of being able to afford the NICOT/NICNT 44-volume set . In the meantime I thought I'd take advantage of the March Madness sale and pick up Fee's volumes at 50% off. But a day after purchasing 1 Corinthians, I notice that my price for the 44 volumes of NICOT/NICNT (with the academic discount) hasn't changed. I don't really want to pick

Thanks for letting us know! This is one of the top items on my wish list. I think I'll wait for the 2nd ed.

All three NICNT volumes were included! I'm happy. Too bad he didn't make it to 75% off!

Schnackenburg for sure, and it would be nice to have Ridderbos and C. K. Barrett on John as well!
It's all just useless speculation.
If anyone paid attention to what was offered last year that might be an indicator. Or if anyone has paid close enough attention to say what percentage of NICOT/NICNT volumes have been available so far this year that might be an indicator. I know both of Waltke's NICOT Proverbs volumes

  • Re: Carson or Fee?

I'm still disillusioned by the decision not to include Moo's Romans volume in here. My guess is that they'll include only one of Fee's NICNT volumes. I don't know if they'll include the two Carson volumes I mentioned above, but I'm leaning Carson just in case I can pick up one of these two works. I still dream that someday I may be able to buy all of
If Logos was able to correct the anomalies by manually deleting multiple votes from the same IP address, you'd think they'd be able to program in something that would automatically disallow multiple votes from the same IP address in the first place.
most of those 'stronger exegetical works' tend to be thoroughly Evangelical, which means we non-Evangelicals sometimes prefer the other guy.
Is Wiersbe less evangelical than Waltke? (Honest question.)
What confuses me is why people did it in the first place. Was it really to get a lower price on some resources or was it something else?
I think it's to get lower prices. I'm glad Logos is doing something about it , but I wonder if they did not do anything in the first round, when Wiersbe had that questionable late

  • Carson or Fee?

It's always hard to decide how to vote in March Madness because you never know which volumes will be included. What do you guys think, will Fee's NICNT volumes be included? Which Carson volumes will be included? I'd like Justification and Variegated Nomism and his volume on Greek accents, but I don't know what the chances are that they'd include these

  • Re: March Madness is too easy to cheat :((((

Good news! Logos is actually removing repeat votes! I'm not sure exactly how they are deciding what to remove, but the N. T. Wright - Gordon Fee contest had 7400 votes right before the end of the contest, and Wright was winning by 800 (even though Fee had been winning just a few hours earlier). When they announced the winners, they announced Fee as

Now this is fascinating. The official vote count for Wright vs. Fee is now 4478, and Wright lost! They must have eliminated all votes from certain IP addresses (which reduced the number of votes by 3000!). Logos found a solution. Well played, Logos. Thank you for working to make this fair!

  • Changes Needed for March Madness 2015

I know there is already a thread on cheating in the March Madness contest, but I would like to post a suggestion for improvement here so it is seen by Logos. The situation is pretty bad. With five hours left Gordon Fee was beating N. T. Wright solidly. Now N. T. Wright is winning by 800 votes with minutes left. 7400 votes were cast for that competition

  • Re: Collections by Publication Date foiled by incorrect data on resources.

Sorry to bring this up again, but why do we still not have original publication dates? Is Logos never going to do anything about this? I can understand if they want to keep the publication date the same, but if it's a translation of a work that was originally written in 1550, I would like to have some way of sorting by publication date. Perhaps a new

Thanks. This is very helpful! There are a lot of changes to your 2011 post just because of new resources that have come out. I am trying to decide how to prioritize all my encyclopedias right now. I'm surprised you don't have the IVP black dictionaries higher. I put them at the top, followed by Anchor, ISBE, your Dictionary of Christianity and the Bible

  • Re: Is there a possibility that Logos may release Logos 6 this year?

I don't think it will be released this year. If I remember correctly 3 years have passed since each release: Logos 3 - June 2006 Logos 4 - November 2009 Logos 5 - November 2012 My guess is that Logos 6 will be released November 2015. This is important. That means much (all?) of my 2015 book budget will go toward upgrading to get whatever fantastic books
