• Re: Considering new Mac Laptop, RAM question

I think of upgrades, especially to RAM, like I am paying more to be able to use my purchase longer. You could get by without having it now, but that $200 is going to add a couple of years to the usability of your computer. Doubly so when you are buying one that can't be upgraded in the future like you did with your current one. It's more, but it is

  • Re: Speaker styles for sermon editor on mobile

I realize the reluctance to promise future updates, I just figured this might be a little different since it is an official feature on desktop now that is closely related to mobile usability. Plus, it seems to me (may be wrong) to be a simple implementation of just setting the app to render the few new html styles provided by the speaker styles.

  • Speaker styles for sermon editor on mobile

When will the speaker styles be viewable on iOS? I preach straight from the logos app, so until that's available there isn't much point in using different styles.

  • Re: Welcome to the New Mobile Apps Forum

Is this for ALL mobile apps from Faithlife or specifically Logos Bible apps? For instance, Proclaim remote, Faithlife app, etc.? Maybe a clearer title?

  • Re: Considering going from ProPresenter to Proclaim

To me, if someone gets to 50gigs of uploaded content, that shows that they have been a very faithful, loyal user that has been paying a subscription price for a long while. Likely several years. To me, subscription pricing is paying your fee for the month, and therefore should be all inclusive for that month. A new customer pays $20 and can upload 50gigs

  • Re: Why is Logos 7 SOOOO SLOOOOOWWW?

Thanks for the quick reply. I messed with things today, and was able to find some optimizations for my VF's, but I also found that my big problem when scrolling was when I have the Propositional outline enabled. When I turn that off, it solves most of my hangups. To reproduce, just turn on the Propositional outline view and scroll a couple of chapters

  • Unable to open baggage at SemanticBoundaryData.dat

I get this error a lot in my logs when navigating to a new passage. | WARN | 1 | LocalSemanticBoundaryDataProvider | Unable to open baggage at SemanticBoundaryData.dat Any idea what I need to do? It seems to add a few seconds to navigation.
switching the search range to Apocrypha for Bibles
Actually, this doesn’t work all that well since it removes it from the Visual filters menu and is forgotten.

  • Re: Why is Logos 7 SOOOO SLOOOOOWWW?

I am also frustrated with the speed, and I really like visual filters, but I see that it REALLY slows down my system, so I am wondering what the best practices are to limit the performance hit. Obviously, limiting the # of resources, range, and search term helps to limit the hits. What about other things? 1. For instance, would it help to put highlights

It should be any day now, and if you want, you can get on the beta channel any time if you want to try it out early. Just type set update channel to beta in the command box. (If I remember the command correctly). The speaker styles work well but are a bit limited at the moment on the iPad, if you preach from that, since the styles don't show up there

Same here on Mac. I get the spinning beachball anytime I do almost anything. I have turned off a bunch of my panel linking (which seemed to work much better before), and am just doing simple things like highlighting and scrolling I get long pauses after almost every move. Example : 1. I am reading a single commentary (with no linked panels, no parallel

  • Document Browser

It would be very helpful to be able to sort by some more criteria, especially now that sermons are included here. I would expect an option for the metadata fields in the sermon editor to be able to sort by series, or a place, or by passage, etc. Are there any plans to improve this?

  • Re: Creating a scripture index

Im not quite sure what you are going for exactly, but it sounds like you just want an easy way to get all the verses you have used on one page. I am guessing the workflow was: save your thesis as a .docx import it into Logos as a personal book select all right click and save as "Passage List" then you could export that in various ways

  • Song Library Browser Concept

It would be helpful to be able to browse and organize our library of songs. There is the ability to reuse items from past presentations, but that is not really ideal as a place to keep anything organized. For instance, we imported lots of songs into our 'my songs' library that we want to pick through and use, but there is no way to find them now without

Yes it works in other apps and I have tried it with both the mouse and keyboard, I can copy from resources and paste in other apps, but not in the sermon editor (except on a new line sometimes) But I can't copy or paste from the sermon editor to the sermon editor (to move something), nor from the sermon editor to another app. It never copies.
