  • Installing Logos 5

I just got a new laptop and was wanting to install Logos 5. I haven't upgraded in a couple of years and don't really want to upgrade now. Do you know if I can still install the older version? Thanks Billy Taylo

  • Re: Mind Mapping Software

I have been using mindmanager for a number of years. It is an incredibly powerful program. It interfaces with MS Office great as well. It is a little pricey, but you I think they have a non-profit price as well as a commercial price. I think that is how I bought it originally. I have it on my Mac and my windows.

  • Re: Which MacBook?

I think the air is great, but the power of the macbook pro just can't be beat. You get incredibly lightweight with the air, there no doubt., but the storage and the extra ram on the pro is worth the little bit of extra weight. I use my 13 pro extensively and it is just a workhourse. With the increased use of multimedia in ministry storage is so important

  • Can't get past "Preparing your Library" in L 4.3

Logos automatically updated to 4.3 but I can't get past the "Preparing Your Library" dialog box. We are talking about hours! It says this may take a while, but it has never taken this long. I deleted the program and downloaded a fresh version, but still can't get past the dialog. I turned off the indexing and that hasn't helped either. I am using a

  • Logos Locking up when Expanding Screen

I use a Macbook Pro connected to an external monitor for study. If has worked fine for months. However, today, when I expand the Logos main window to full screen, it locks up and goes unresponsive. I have to force quit. Any thoughts?

  • Re: Removing Logos 4 Parallels installation

Do you know if that will take off all the resources as well as the main program? Looking at the size, it doesn't seem like there is enough space listed.

  • Removing Logos 4 Parallels installation

I have been running both the mac and window version of logos 4 on my macbook pro. I think it's time to remove the windows version. Are they connected in any way, or can I just uninstall the logos windows?

  • Re: Mind Mapping program integration

I have been using Inspiration and Mindjet for a very long time. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I preach using a Kindle, so I do my thinking, research and outline in the Mindjet or Inspiration, then convert them to MS Word. (I don't know how well the free programs work, but both of these do a great job) One advantage Mindjet has is you

  • Re: Printing out of Logos for Mac

Ok, I have to agree that no printing is a limiting factor in Logos. Don't get me wrong, I love the program, I have a substantial investment in the program (1,600 + volumes in my library) but... I feel a little bit at times that I bought a great car, but as time goes on I find that soon it will have all 4 tires. In the near future brake lights will be

  • Re: Logos 4 will not open

Looks like there is some problem with the server system at Logos. Or an update that was recently released. My Mac is doing the same thing. Obviously this is not an isolated issue. Sure would like to see a Logos person respond to this thread! I did notice that an updated was loaded yesterday afternoon to my machine.

  • Re: Mac on iPad

The only option for the IPAD is the Logos App. You cannot load any other operating system. The APP is pretty amazing. You don't have access to everything, but you have access to a lot. I use it all the time. I have a pastor friend who uses it almost exclusively.

  • Re: Recommendations

I think one of the questions you should think through is portability. I keep my macbook pro on the go. It goes almost everywhere I go. Therefore, even though I compromise a little on speed (and no matter what you buy, next week it will come out in a faster version) I love the 13 inch portability. I have a 24 in monitor at my desk in the office, the

  • Re: Beta 6 - Popup window won't go away

I have had the problem as well. I have noticed that it is the resource related the time time date. When you mouse over it, it gives you a pop up window. I has been around for several recent releases. Is there a default resource connected to date rollover?

  • Re: Kudos - iPad App

I totally agree, it's worth buying an IPAD just for Logos. Besides all the incredible study tools, one of the great advantages is being able to read all those "other" books in my library. It's a little wearysome to read a whole book on your laptop or monitor. Begin able to take my IPad and read some of the church growth, leadership, other resouce books

  • Re: Help for a non-techie!!!!!

Deborah, I can understand your pain. I think you still have two very good options. 1. Is to load the verions 1.1 fof the Mac. It doesn't have the bells and whistles, but is still a great program. It shouldn't cost you anything, and when Mac 4 goes lives, you could download the new version. 2. You can run a windows version of Logos on your mac. I run

  • Re: Walk me through the process of running Logos 4 (pc version) on my mac

I did a lot of research on both options of Vmware and Parallels. I settled on Parallels. I found an old copy of XP. Setup was a breeze. Pop in the disks and follow the directions. I am not a tweeker, I just want it to run. So, everything I am using is straight out of the box. I have had no problems. It runs great on my 4 meg Macbook Pro. Plus I can
