• Re: Literal Standard Version Bible

Will be interesting how this compares to LSB, which I will be comparing to NASB95. Not holding my breath that either LSB or LSV will be a replacing improvement. LEB isn't, touted though it is. Apart from the text, the notes in NASB are pretty effective at making the underlying OL clear. The percentage of issues it doesn't address is pretty small, and

  • Re: The Left and Right Hand of Marketing

Aside from the disconnect described above, there is the continuing issue of scattershot citations. Next to nothing is as important to academics and academia as bibliographic citation. I don't have a complete solution to the problem that exists in Logos, but the problem is wide-ranging and extensive. I've found some BibSac citations in my Notes that

Did you create that footnote in Mobile? Or in the desktop version? I also have notes attached to footnote numbers; I just can't create them in Mobile. Also, you use iOS, so the comparisons of what features function properly or not are not going to be uniform or consistent.
You also had to have the Strong's numbers visible to use the feature, not the word itself. So from your description of how L3 worked I would not count on it working the same, but I could be happily mistaken.
I wish you were happily mistaken, but it ain't so. The picture you posted tells the tale. The insertion of the Strong

Also just noticed that I am not allowed and thus unable to attach notes to footnote numbers in the regular text. In the past, I have been able to do in L3 and I think in Lnow. If I can't copy the footnote text, then I ought to be able to attach a note to the footnote number to alert myself that there is info in the footnote that I find useful...but

  • Make Footnote Data Copy & Paste Ready in Mobile App

I want to be able to copy & paste footnote data into a personal note. That shouldn't be a problem. It should include all of the citation info when pasted. (Allowing an option to turn off citation info is fine w/ me.) Please make that happen.

  • Re: Strong's Talking Hebrew and Greek Dictionary

I don't know exactly what this feature will end up being in Logos, but it sounds like it will be somewhat similar to how Strong's was implemented in L3. In the KJV and the NASB (because they are both on the word-for-word end of the translation spectrum), when a user hovered their cursor over a word in their Bible, a pop-up of the underlying Strong's

  • Re: Why are TDOT vol/page references not hyperlinked?

Because FL is comfortable not fulfilling its marketing slogan about hyperlinked connectivity of library resources. The Word Commentary was added to Logos years before TDOT was, and so there was no way to link TDOT references to an actual product when the links were being created. Well over a decade ago, I suggested that FL go ahead and create dead links

TWOT is in the fundamentally "neutral" camp while TDOT & TDNT are in the fundamentally "good" camp w/ regard to baa sar . Their approaches resemble "half full" vs. "half empty" disputation. Folks interested should consult, consider, and decide for themselves.

Here is the summary of baa sar from TDOT...it seems to address your concern. The height attained in Trito-Isaiah would be complete if we could find in bśr the basis for the NT key word euangélion, “gospel” (to say something about the later history of this word). Unfortunately, the noun besorah is not used in Isa. 61:1, and we do not

These are exactly the kind of issues that I would fully expect to crop up in any so-called "dataset". It is one reason why I rarely ever make use of them. I suppose they are fine if perceived and utilized as just one of multiple resource options, but there is a perception by both the producer (FL) and consumers (users) that these currated data collections
