Mike: The likelihood of anything being implemented into the Mac version that are not in the Windows version of Logos 4, no matter how "macish" are extremely slim. This would be something implemented post launch (after Logos 4 on the Mac is out of its Alpha and Beta stages). Thank you for pointing it out though. This would be something to remind us of

Ernie: MacBook Pros are infamous for being hot. What surface are you using it on? (Table, floor, counter, pillow, your lap? As you can see in the screenshot below (which I have edited for our more sensitive users) I searched MacBook Pro and hot , so as you can see you are not alone here. The two typical reasons for an overheating MBP (MacBook Pro) are

JCJN, What is in the layout in question? What version of Logos4 are you using? What version of Logos4 was the layout created in? Can you post the layout and a log of you trying to open it?
-
Patrick: Right now the goal is to get the Mac version on par with the Windows version. If the Windows version does not have it, right now at least there is little chance of it being implemented prior to the initial finished build of the Mac version of Logos4. Features that take advantage of Mac's hardware and software are likely to, if at all, be implemented

Jim: Right-click them and select delete. It will delete the folder and the contents within.
-
Scott: Is this still a problem which needs overcoming? If so what version of the Alpha are you using?
-
Jac: I've already submitted a bug for this thank you though for bringing it to our attention.
-
Jack: Could I get a screen of the layout in question. Was it part of one you had made prior to 17?

Seth: Delete the following files from their respective locations: /Applications/--Delete the Logos 4 Application /Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/--Delete the Logos4 Folder. /Users/UserName/Library/LaunchAgents--Delete the com.logos.LogosIndexer.plist. /Users/UserName/Library/Caches--Delete the com.logos.logos_Bible_Software_4 folder

Doug: We are aware of the problem and are working on it.

Lloy: What is your search citation, and are you opening the Exegetical Guide from the Guides menu, or is this something you are doing from the HomePage? If the latter is this from the HomePage search, or an additional search from the Exegetical Guide window that was opened during the initial search. Thanks

Hey James: Could you give me the list of dictionaries you tagged, I want to reproduce your search. Thank you.
-
Kenny: You mentioned more than one issue you were experiencing. Could I inquire as to what the log file is a log file of? Is it the crash when you were trying "to work with collections" (and what exactly do you mean by trying to work with? Were you attempting to create a collection?) or was it when you tried to do a search? If so what were you searching

Rich: There is little to no punctuation in the book both in Logos 4 for Windows, and Libronix 3.0g for Windows. I see the occasional period, and noticed one comma at one point but other than that there is no punctuation. I don't know Korean so whether or not the language uses significant use of punctuations as are used in the west is a mystery to me
-
Russ: Right now the Mac version does not communicate any synchronization. The Windows version does not indicate what is being synchronized so if that is a feature deemed appropriate, it would be to be revisited later but the Mac team is right now working towards parity with the Windows version. This "go" button is starting to sound like the user-created

Michael and Mike are two men who have been around the block a few times with the Alpha. Their advice is good. Try Michael's idea but make sure you pay attention to your power settings. Don't let your computer go to sleep when indexing or downloading.

Perhaps this image will help. If you type in the citation (precisely) and allow the "command parser" to finish, you will see the citation in the box below it and hit enter to get to the desired location. No need to click it with your mouse or anything like that, and I've reported the inability to select items in drop down boxes with the arrow keys already

When I open the NASB 1995, and type in a citation (with correct spelling) and hit enter it goes to that location (provided the citation exists). No spaces required. For those of you who are experiencing this can I confirm which version of the Alpha you have and what citations this action does not work for?

I better not see anymore posts about this. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/15389.aspx

I've seen a few posts asking about this and lamenting the issue: Getting footnotes to work on Pages. Pages unfortunately does not recognize the text format that all other text editors recognize. Due to that a separate exporter would have to be written just for Pages which would take a significant amount development resources. That having been said footnotes
