Hi Dave, If I get the gist of what you're saying, it appears that if I want to search for the word 'paradigm' within resources that are of type 'dictionary' that I would enter paradigm into the search pane? I tried that and still got zero results.
The result is also interesting because the Help file is not listed/counted as
It sounds like what you're wanting to do is search for "paradigm" within every book that has been tagged with "grammar" as it's type. Is that correct?
Hi David, yes! That's exactly what I want to do. Now, for my next question: I know how to make a collection, but am I the only one who sees the fact that I would

  • Search syntax help please

Hello, if I open a new search panel and type paradigm type:g I get a list of auto-completion items among which appears paradigm type:grammar If I then execute the query, I get zero results. I tried a similar experiment with paradigm type:dictionary and again, received zero results. I then browsed the entire Logos 4 help file, and could find no help
Is it just me or is this new version harder to work with. Hi Terry, thank you for explaining away your use of 'riled' and that it didn't really mean what anyone who understands English would read it to mean. I'm sure you have a similar explanation for what only appears to be insulting when you implied that MJ's original post didn't even meet the minimum criteria of politeness. Oh well. Just don't be surprised

I too experience this from time to time. It had never occurred prior to 4.0a. I don't think it occurred until after 4.0a SR1/2. Matt
Does it strike anyone else as odd that we still can't download many purchases immediately but must wait for an L3 disk? It seems to me like Logos didn't time this part of the implementation correctly - even if they had to manually update license with a 24 hour delay it would seem better planned.
Yes, it does strike

Bohuslav, I apologize. For some reason, my English brain transliterated your name into 'Boris.' Let me be clear: I think Logos 4 is amazing software with a lot of potential. I am used to using software that has an abundance of help built-in (Libronix 3 did, although it needed some work itself), and I have been sorely disappointed with the help system

Boris, I can only conclude that you have limited experience with Photoshop. *All* features (at least I've never found a one) are documented. All dialogs, all sliders, *all*. That's what one expects from a product that costs as much as Photoshop. I could argue that Visual Studio's help system has *too* much information. Have you ever looked at Wolfram

Jacob, So, a software product that provides Greek and Hebrew tools should not explain how to use those tools in the software's help files? Hmm, that's a new one to me. By that definition, Microsoft Word shouldn't tell me how to use its table tool, Adobe Photoshop shouldn't explain to me what a 'smart object' is and how to use one, Microsoft Visual Studio

Hi, I hope I won't get jumped on for criticizing Logos for this training, but I feel that after investing $3000 in this product since November that I have some right to do so. To wit: Why is Logos developing such a wonderful language study tool that is going to cost us yet more money, when the help system in Logos 4 is so incredibly and woefully inadequate
