Keith, as another poster mentioned, it all depends on what else will be running along with Logos 4. Logos 4 is a 32-bit application. By default, on a 32-bit or 64-bit OS a 32-bit application is given 2 GB of address space to work with (i.e. the rest of the virtual address space is given to the OS, in the 32-bit OS case, the upper 2 GB, and in the 64

Bob, I can see why you're the CEO. A very well put post. You almost had me convinced up until this: [quote user="Bob Pritchett"]I think of our user account like a cell phone. • Help please from the expert Logos users

Hello, as the help still has a long way to go, and there's nothing in the videos that I can find that helps me with this, I would appreciate some guidance from the Logos 3 & 4 pro users as to how one would/should tackle questions such as these: Are the Apostles part of Old Testament Biblical prophecy (i.e. God used the Apostles in a powerful way to

If there's a way to make this topic be 'popular' or a sticky so that others will always see it (i.e. it will always be at the top of the topic listing in this forum) when they come to this forum (myself included), I think it would be benefiicial. Thanks, Matt

OK, here's my first 2 of many cents. As I work through and experiment with the program, I keep writing little notes to myself with questions that aren't answered in the help file. First off, I would say this: In the sales literature, Logos is advertised as not coming with any documentation because it has all the help one would need in the program itself

  • Footnote/Copy-Paste question

Hello, first off, I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, but I just spent a bit of time attempting to utilize the search feature for the forums and it seems essentially impossible to get it to do a targeted search (e.g. find 'footnotes' only in the Logos 4 forum). My home page displayed "A Caution to Stir up to Watch Against Sin" as the 'Book

Hi Jon, first off, thanks so much for your detailed and thoughtful post! I have copied out your instructions and when/if I decide to tackle this, I'll give it a go. I wish Logos would recognize what a mess they've made of a simple software install for user's with families who all share a computer with no discernable benefit to a single user. Anyway

Perhaps he means the ability to bring all windows to the foreground? If so, I would like to know how to do that myself. As it is right now, whenever I have multiple floating windows open, I need to go down to the task bar and bring each one up manually. Matt

[quote user="Matthew C Jones"] Your experiment with Windows 7 gave me an idea. How about running virtual machines for the children under W7. You can still have just one machine but isolate their installations from synching by blocking that VM from internet access. Is that feasible? • Re: Logos4 'Floating Windows' are 'too' separate from the main window, unlike Logos3

For me, they don't behave as I would expect and in fact are quite different from industry standards. As an example, Photoshop CS4 supports multiple monitors. If I open two documents and move one of them to another monitor, within Windows 7, if I hover over the task bar, there is still a single window that shows up, and I can hide and restore all Photoshop

I too encountered this error. For the initial install and the first several SR's there was no problem with permissions. With SR-6 and SR-7, I have initially had the failure "Error writing to file." Considering that the ostensible raison d'etre of installing into the bizarre location of Users\ \AppData was to avoid security issues, I find this error
