Suggestion: it would be beneficial...
Actually, this is not a feature request, it's a bug. I've already put a call in to Logos support on this, and they stated that they are working on a fix. I posted about this in this thread . Otherwise, how ridiculous would it be that in the search window, the user would need

I think the original poster brings up a good point though. I have four children all under the age of 12 who are all being homeschooled. I had assumed that it would be no problem to let my oldest learn and use the software, just as I am letting him use and learn Mathematica, Britannica, Encarta, Rosetta Stone, OED, Office, etc. Even my six year old would
You can't do it for any program you pay for - windows, games, music you buy.
Actually untrue. Microsoft's EULA is typically per machine and they even advertise Mom, Dad, the kids, etc. all having their own accounts on the one machine and being able to save their individual settings. There is something about only

  • Re: More Videos: Thanks, Logos!!

According to the web page, it looks like the last time it was updated was last week (the 13th). That brings me to a request: for those of us who have read through the help, and have watched all the videos, it would be immensely helpful if Logos would list the date a video was added, so that for those of us who are hungry for more information would be

This is something which I already posted about here . In that post, you'll see why I question the 'frequency' explanation. The most natural and intuitive, of course, is alphabetical, but as I stated, I can see where a relativized list would be useful. Does anyone know for certain what it's actually doing? If it is relativized, then it would be nice

  • Re: "Logos 4 Not Responding"

This happens to me as well. It's typically due to the fact that the thread that handles the UI refresh is blocked on (i.e. waiting for) another operation completing. As this is new software, I fully expect that the Logos developers will address this resource contention issue in due time. I've monitored thread activity and I/O when this occurs, and it

  • Re: Searching for a Hebrew word in a dictionary

I have already placed a call in to technical support on this (for me, it was Greek) and they told me that they are working on a fix. Essentially, it's broken in Logos 4. We *should* be able to type in something like g:agape to look ἀγάπη up, but right now, it doesn't work. I got around the problem by installing a Greek keyboard. It's easy to do in

  • Help needs help (along with a potential bug)

Greetings all, I checked the 'missing features' page and some other forum posts related to help before posting this. If somebody else has posted about this, please accept my apology. Just now, I was doing a "Bible Word Study." I was presented with a wonderful cornucopia of information, and while some of it I could immediately intuit, other parts were

  • Search panel drop down list

Hello, as all of you have experienced, if you type a search into the search panel's input box, as you type, a drop down list appears, displaying 'suggested matches' that one might want to select from. Today, in response to another post, I ran an experiment within the Search panel subject to the following constraints: All searches took place within the

  • Re: Help! Searching is now broken

Out of curiosity, I ran some Bible searches, and while I cannot duplicate the exact problem you're experiencing, I did notice some apparent? slowdowns in the searching mechanism, as well as some idiosyncracies which I'll note in another post. One thing about the results is that I too was a bit flummoxed when the grid appeared, because it was all Old

The QA team, beta testers, and developers have obviously done a superlative job at getting the product this far, but, it's simply the nature of the software

I just wanted to second your experience. I'm running an 8-core (dual 3 GHz Xeons) with 16 Gb of RAM with Logos 4 launching from a 10,000 RPM Velociraptor (fully defragged with lots of free space) drive on Windows 7 x64, and Logos 4 is by far the slowest software on my system. When I launch the application it takes from 8 to 12 seconds for the homepage

  • Re: Bug - Full Size on Multiple Monitors

I too am experiencing this issue. I'm running Logos 4 SR-6 on Windows 7 x64. When maximized, the title bar becomes solid black and the maximize, minimize, and restore buttons of the main program window are hidden from view, although functional. If I float a panel and maximize it, the title bar appears as it should.
