Wasn't there a Logos 1. something? Logos has been my first and only Bible software, starting back in about 1989 or so when I first began leading women's Bible studies at church. I remember loading it onto my computer with floppy discs!

Thanks, Lee. I had not noticed it was available again. I am really tempted, but now I'm wondering if the high resolution of the screen will be a problem with Logos 6, MS Word, or other programs. Screen resolution is 3300 x 1800. Apparently it is a scaling issue that software has not caught up with, and some say that Windows 10 may improve or fix it

The graphics card is an NVIDIA GT 840M 2GB. A salesman at Best Buy (who is a big time gamer) said it wasn't a high-end card, but was OK. Now the problem is that Amazon has suddenly stopped selling this particular laptop because people were complaining, possibly about the colors on the screen, which doesn't seem a big deal for my use. Maybe I'll be able

If I had to choose between a laptop with either: 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM with integrated graphics OR 256GB SSD and 12GB RAM with dedicated graphics . . . . Which set-up would run Logos 6 better with both of them using a Core i7 processor (i7-4500 or i7-4510 respectively)? I guess it comes down to which balance of features is most important for L6 to run

Thanks, Lee! I may just go with it after I talk to my husband. Thank you everyone! You're the best!

Thank you all for your input. I did look on my C drive but could only find Libronx DLS files (I do have the old Logos 3 still on my desktop). But I did not see just "Logos" which I assume would be Logos 6.Not sure where that is? Maybe I can call Logos to see how big my library is as someone else did above. I am spoiled with my desktop running Windows

I'm also wondering how many Logos 6 resources the different sizes of SSD drives hold. I have about 5200 and I'm not sure how big a drive I would need. Would a 256 GB SSD be big enough? I have no idea how much space L6 uses. Thanks.

I just closed and restarted Logos 6. It still starts with a screen that says "Unable to connect to Logos.com" and yet my email and password are at the top showing, as well as what I entered down below on the screen. Any suggestions? It will let me work offline and the program loads, but how do I sign into the program while in it? All internet functions

Logos 6 appeared to update but then I got a screen which said it could not log in to Logos. Internet is working fine. Logos website and forums are working fine. So I checked the box to work offline and the program loaded and is indexing. How do I now sign into Logos through the program? The sync button is greyed out since I'm not signed in. UPDATE:

Thank you all. I'll keep looking.

Thank you. I appreciate your help.

I'm looking for a lighter weight laptop and I'm not sure what would run L5 well. I'm used to my desktop with an i7 processor and 20" monitor. Would this Acer be good, or would it be too frustrating for speed and screen real estate? I do prefer Windows 7. Thanks for any feedback! I just received the new Romans NT Courseware, was looking it over, and then purchased the Pillar commentary on Romans. I closed and restarted as usual but Logos will not open. There is an icon in the lower right tray that says Logos has new resources to add to library, but nothing happens. I'm running Windows 7. --Problem solved by rebooting! Should

Well, I decided to go for the $50 upgrade to WBC today. I got the three updated volumes that I did not have (Ps. 1-50, Is. 1-33, and Is. 34-66), and with the 12 Days of Christmas special it came to $39.28. Pretty good deal!
-
When I put my Black Friday purchases in my shopping cart, I see below the cart an ad for WBC for $50. I already own WBC so would this give me the three or four upgraded volumes that I don't have? It does not specify which volumes will be added. I guess this would be a good deal, right?

I received a second today as well, although I had not yet used the first. Just thought it was a reminder.

Synchronization is not working after the 4.5a update today. Anyone else having this problem? It worked fine before the automatic update occurred. Now I get only the exclamation mark triangle error. Internet is working, so it's not that. Georgia Schoelz

I wonder if this has something to do with the major ice and snow storm we've had here in Washington State. Logos' headquarters in Bellingham may have lost power, as did so much of Western Washington. Not sure if this is what happened, but I also lost all my downloads on my Kindle Fire this morning when I opened the Logos app. (Our power and internet

Hi everyone, I got Logos 4 running today after my problems of yesterday (see previous post under "Logos 4 won't start...already tried the FAQ procedure"). I installed the Windows 7 service pack that was recommended and then tried opening L4 and it worked. However, Windows went into the "basic color mode" when I opened Logos, saying that this program

Thanks everyone for your help. I did call Logos Support and they were unable to fix it. Mike at Logos said to fun the Windows Repair Function, which is beyond me, so I'll try to use the Costco Concierge Service to do it since the computer is still under warranty. Apparently when I restored the computer to the previous setting before the Windows update
