Dean, you may want to edit your title, as it seems to really close tomorrow, but in most timezones this would be Friday 11th
Thanks, I was able to edit it.

It's close to $15: http://www.logos.com/product/24039/the-messages-of-the-bible

Thank you.

Look on the bright side--it probably means they grossly underestimated the cost of production, and that we got a better deal than we should have on the price.

I was glad to save money this year; I am surprised though that Logos didn't offer a sale on in-house books. I'm not griping about the lack of a good sale this year at all--I do, however, have a problem with pitches which are simply not honest or true.

This is great, thanks!

I wasn't too happy about reading this:
As a concession to "the missionary with the solar-powered laptop and no Internet connection", and to people who still want an isolated stand-alone software package, you can run the software with Internet access turned off. This still remains the only Byzantine era dictionary on offer. Recently an increasing number of Greek scholars have began emphasizing the need to consult later Byzantine as well as earlier Classical definitions when considering the possible meaning of a Greek word used in the NT: http://www.logos.com/product/8513/e-a-sophocles-collection
I've spent my career working in retail head offices, currently working for one of the top ten retail companies in Australia where I work closely with demand planners and am working towards moving into that field ove the next few years so I get retail and I get customers, I'm one of those.
These forums are full of people who happily pay $250 for a dozen or less NT commentaries, all of which say pretty much the same as the hundreds of commentaries they already have. $250 for the Patrologia isn't expensive. $500 or $750 isn't expensive either for that matter.
True, but the commentaries are in English! Most people
I hadn't intended to buy anything from the Logos' 12 Days of Christmas Sale … until I saw today's offer: Lenski's NT Commentaries for $199.95. Wow! I have had Lenski on my wishlist for a while, so I asked the family treasurer (my wife) who in a (rare) moment of weakness/compassion/folly/generosity said' "Yes". Just ordered
I doubt we would get more than 2% to 5% of those who bid on the Spurgeon books, given the resistance to purchasing anything expensive that is not translated into english.... that would put your estimate up to $10,000 to $20,000 per bid (which probably means everyone would drop out).... getting prices down to the $250 range

But, here's the key I believe ... learn the alphabet, then vocabulary, then grammar as you go along.
The other key: know yourself. For myself it is easier to learn the syntax and grammar first then figure out the vocabulary much as I did in the 1sr grade. Memorizing vocabulary just didn't work.
Is it just me or is anyone else underwhelmed by the Christmas sales this year? Maybe I have been spoiled because of a few past Christmas sales that rocked my world? Or maybe when you get over 4000 books in your library it takes a real shocker of a deal to make the adrenaline pump? Now, I am not at all trying to throw a

These and HUNDREDS more complete works of important theologians and writers spanning a period from Tertullian to Innocent III! All this and MORE--over 200 volumes of the original Latin--for perhaps as little as $250 dollars. http://www.logos.com/product/28902/patrologiae-cursus-completus-series-latina This would be an indispensable work, but it's up

I'm not aware that I'm fillibustering. On the contrary, I've sought to provide evidence, and to require from you that you back up your statements--which you have refused to do. Okay, so it was ignorance on your part. For someone coming on here, throwing out accusations that people don't believe the Bible or accept the traditions relating to the Gospels
It's not available from Logos, but in "Redating the New Testament" John A. T. Robinson makes a good argument for all the gospels being written before AD 70. In "Jesus and the Eyewitnesses", Richard Bauckham speaks of Papius and the gospels as eyewitness accounts. It's not always an easy read, but worth the effort. [/quote
