Thanks Daniel. I did the same, copied all my resources from Windows over to an external HDD and then scanned it with the L4Mac installation. I have all my resources now, but am a bit disappointed that it happened. These kinds of installation problems tend to turn off new users...

I was in the middle of a new post about this when I noticed yours. I'm having the same problem. My library shows 98 fewer resources on L4Mac than it does on my Windows installation. I don't know which resources are missing but Journal of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood vol. 10 is one of them... Help!
those who are negative (and positive for that matter), would phrase their likes and dislikes in that way...then I'm sure that a lot of the Logos Denominations would vanish....we'd all just be stating what we prefer , and not what's a gem or a piece of garbage.

Alternate solution. We could also grow some thicker skin and not work ourselves into a tizzy when others state their opinions using strong, decisive, or even unfriendly language...
DHG, did you actually read what I wrote? It's not the "colorful metaphors" that I'm objecting to...
Yes. If
I'm down with that. I don't agree with your preference, but I understand that it's just. not your cup o tea.... Is that more clear? Possibly that came out in a later comment.
Crystal clear.

Over the past several months, my poor computer has indexed, merged-indexed, and re-indexed for more than 50 hours...and counting. The result? Well, other than wear on my hard drive, I now can search my entire library in less than 5 seconds. A similar search used to take me about 30 seconds in L3. Should I be impressed? Is this really the future of bible
-
Yeah, maybe hours of searching will eventually, statistically, begin to make up for the disparity in the hours upon hours of indexing.
-
I understand that the latest update (4.0d) is supposed to kick off a complete re-index. After the update successfully installed, my 2.25GB resource download was interrupted. My computer restarted, the download finished after a few hours, and indexed for about 45 minutes. It was not a complete re-index. Is this a problem? Should I merge the indexes,

Thank you MJ.

It says 4.0d (4.04.4.1385)...I started a rebuild index.

New iPad user here. Has anyone tried Blogshelf? It looks like an interesting twist on a rss reader.

That looks great. Thanks for the lead!
I was so stunned by a similar statement, bordering on heresy...
Try searching your collection for theology books written prior to the 19th century. Read them; you might be stunned.

Same problem here...rebuilt my index and 0 search results now from my library. I removed my NIV 2011 and will try it again. Thanks for the help.

Oh, I didn't realize that...not the twitter type, just noticed the "deal" here on the forums.
with amazon, if you so desire, you can purchase a book right from the iphone/ipad and it will become available as soon as you can download it... you can not do this on the logos app
I'm missing the distinction. I purchase books for both my Kindle app and my Logos app. They both work the same way. The purchase is made
So *if* Kindle didn't allow purchasing content directly from the device (I know that they do allow it)
I'm running the Kindle app on my iPad, and I'm fairly certain I cannot purchase content directly from my device (from the app, that is). I have to use a regular web browser.

$3.54 per resource! On my account orders page, I noticed the rather embarrassing total dollar amount I've invested in Logos resources over the past 12 years or so. Dividing by the number of resources in my library, I was surprised to discover that I've spent more than $3.54 per resource! How about you?
-
Well I guess the bright side is that a majority of my resources are worth 10x that amount...
