He should buy Accordance Bible Software (www.accordancebible.com). It's not in Alpha. It works great with Snow Leopard, and the customer support is amazing! Accordance isn't a red-headed step child for the Mac either, like the way Logos is for Mac users. I think the release of Logos 4 demonstrates that.

I will say this for Logos too... so far the iPhone app is pretty cool... I imagine if I had a full library beyond the free stuff they supply I'd be sold for good... so good job Logos peoples for the iPhone app!

Yeah... I've dropped over $1000 on my Accordance stuff, which I love... but I'd be willing to give Logos a fair trial (I'd limit myself to Logos only for a month) if they offered a 30 day demo or some sort of "satisfaction guarantee" like that... I am sorry if I came across as a jerk... I'm just trying to get some feel for the Logos system and figured

Joe - I think your comment was a little less than sanctified, particularly regarding me. I had said earlier that I was sorry I came across as a jerk and if I could delete the "Buy Accordance" post I would have. I don't think I demeaned any Logos user as an "alpha" or anything near that. I would merely like to have the best tools possible for my study

Why, when I open the ESV Study Bible through the Passage Guide does it take me to the History of Salvation section at the end of the study bible? If I link it with my text it goes to the right spot, but when I click the passage guide link I get tossed to the end.

When will this show up on iOS devices? Mine still show the old numbering system. Thanks.

I'd like to speed up my work flow just a little bit so I am looking for some help on this. Essentially I'd like to be able to toss a passage of Scripture into my command bar and it open a series of windows for me ready to go. I know I can do something like this with the Quickstart button - but I'd like to customize the layout and resources that it opens

I actually found it in: Schaff, Philip. The Creeds of Christendom, With a History and Critical Notes, Volume III: The Evangelical Protestant Creeds, With Translations . New York: Harper & Brothers, 1882. It's listed as the Baptist Confession of 1688 (The Philadelphia Confession). Thanks for the help.

I'd love to see in Logos a way to freehand highlight and mark up a text. For instance as I study 1 Peter 2:19-20 I'd like to be able to draw some connections in the text (as if it were a second layer over the text). 19 For this is a gracious thing, when, x mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. 20 For what credit is it if, when

Bama, I am sure I am asking for the impossible because I want my highlights to stick WITH the text (not just a graphic layer that might get out of sync if the text was resized, etc.). My logic is that I'm using Logos more and more as my markup text but I'd like to take it to the next level in that work. I am familiar with the inductive pallet and while

I am aware of all the NIV issues and rebranding/updates etc. so I don't mean to rehash that here where it has already been discussed in other places. However... I became a Logos user in September of 2011 and am wondering if there is anyway I can get the NIV84 back?? Any help is appreciated.

What is the J.W. package?

In college Sakae Kubo's Reader's Greek-English Lexicon was a must have for being able to build my skills in reading the Greek text. Are there any Logos Resources that list the words (and frequency of usage in the NT) by passage. Or would Zondervan release Kubo for Logos? It'd be a welcome addition!

Not sure I had it before, I thought I did however. I don't have it right now is the problem. I thought the replacement happened in early 2012 but I might be late to the party. Thanks for the help. What might the differences between the Anglicized version and the 84 be?

I just got a new SSD for my laptop and want to move Logos over from my HDD to it without having to do a new download/install/index of my Logos5 stuff. Any recommendations on how to do this?

I am trying to figure out what is the most critical component to making Logos launch as fast as possible. I am using a 2012 MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM, with a 2.4 GHz i5 processor and a 750 GB Hybrid Drive. Recently I was borrowing a MacBook Air that had 4 GB of RAM, a 1.7 GHz i5 processor and a 64 GB SSD drive. I didn't benchmark test either system

Bob, I'd like to say thank you. Thank you for caring about us as customers enough to develop a business, and a business model that will be sustained for, in my opinion, many decades forward. Anytime one invests in a new medium of technology there is a concern over how long that new medium will be useful and last over the long haul. For instance how

I was recently given a $50 gift card that I want to use to buy some Logos resources. I have the Platinum library along with some other resources but would love some external input. What's great/essential/helpful that I don't have that I can get for under $50? Recommendations please.

Good call... already have it :-)
