• Re: Logos 4.0d will not install
Thank you. I've submitted a report to development with the log file.
Hello again Melissa When a report is submitted to development, what does that mean? Will they look into the matter and within what approximate timeframe? Will they post a reply on this thread or how will I become aware of a possible solution?

  • Re: Logos 4.0d will not install

Hello Melissa No, running setup from the link you suggested had the same result ending up with: I've enabled loggin using the suggested script. However, when I'm bumped a log file does not seem to be produced as I never actually enter Logos. I attach the log file that is produced if I choose to NOT have Logos install the update. Then Logos 4.0c starts

  • Logos 4.0d will not install

Hello I've searcehd the forum and the wiki but have'nt come across anybody else with this problem. I'd appreciate any suggestions. The update for Logos 4.0d was dowloaded automatically and I was prompted to restart Logos in order to install the update. I did this but a dialog told me I had to run Logos "as administrator" by right-clicking the Logos

  • Re: BDAG Search

Thank you very much Kevin! Your suspicion turned out to be true, at least for me. I ran a "merge index" and "voila!" - there they were - all the searchfields. Great! Much appreciated you help!

  • Re: BDAG Search

Many thanks for the explanation Todd. I didn't know that the metadata wasn't part of the resource file. I've repeatedly tried restarting Logos but with no sucess. I've tried "Update Now", "Update Resources" and even "Sync Now" but the metadata of the BDAG are still missing. Seems like an odd thing. Any suggestions anyone?

  • Re: 4.0c : Strange Command Bar behaviour

I've encountered the same problem. I switched to the Swedish UI in Logos but switched back to English after two days since I find it more convenient. However, today I discovered that some of the commands in Logos no longer work in the command bar. I run Windows 7 in Swedish but I'm sure that at least the "Update now" worked before trying the Swedish

  • Re: BDAG Search

I have the exact same problem as Ken. Resource information has nothing in the "search fields section". And there are no options to select search fileds when searching the BDAG. Like Ken I also purchased the BDAG just a few days ago. However, restarting Logos (as Todd suggested to Ken) doesn't solve the issue for me. Todd, how do you mean that metadata

  • Re: Logos: How do you prioritize publishing Bibles.

I agree with Bohuslav. I' don't think Bob's third point is relevant. Most pastors and students of theology whose mothertongue is a small language are very used to reading books and articles in English and (for Europenas) even other languages such as German or French. At seminaries and theological colleges we read loads of books and stuff in English

Otto, William and Steve - thanks a lot for your answers and advice! Much appreciated! I will give support a ring once they open. I'm in Sweden and wasn't aware that today (Monday) is a public holiday over there.

  • Installing the Lutheran Study Bible

This may be a silly question but how do I install and activate the Lutheran Study Bible. It's not downloadable so I had the CD shipped. The CD, however, includes Libronix which I don't want to install Is there a way to just add the actual resource to my Logos 4 library? I've tried copying the file which I believe is the actual resource (LSBCONCORDIA

  • Reading whole books on screen - do you?

I'm amazed at the number of books available in Logos. I have the basic Scholar's library and have bought some additional 150 books or so. However, I rarely read whole books on-screen. I find myself primarily using Logos as a study tool mostly using Bibles, commentaries, dictionaries and encyclopedias but not really using the monographs very much. What
Also, if you want to filter hits more carefully search like this: Create a topic collection Do a basic search and check "match case" and "match all word forms" then when you do the search, use a capital letter for the first letter and it should be heavy on "topic headings" instead of junk hits.... • NIBC incomplete metadata

Please note that two of the volumes in the very recently published New Internationacl Biblical Commentary (NT) lack information in the field "Series". This means that if you want to prioritize the whole set by prioritizing the series you will only prioritize 16 of the 18 volumes. You manually have to prioritize "Revelation" and the volume "1, 2 Peter

Thanks for the suggestion Kevin. Dragging doesn't work for me but I'm not running the Beta-version you are. So I'll just hold out and hope that dragging will work after the next update of the program. Have you got any idea when 4.0b will be ready? Thanks again!

  • Linking to word-files in Favorites

Hello I think Favorites is a very nice tool to organize work on a certain passage, topic, specific word etc. Having folders and subfolders and then adding all sorts of items like Notes, Clippings, locations, articels, BWS, even layouts etc is great. However, I also work a lot in Microsoft Word. One of the things that would be awesome is the possiblility

  • Time for Camp Logos in Europe?

There are loads of Camp Logos seminars in the US. How about making a daring leap aross the pond in order to offer us European users the opportunity? Say in Berlin, which is central and one of the cheaper cities of Europe. Or in my hometown, Stockholm.
