I notice there is only one bid of $ 600 for that Logos 5 Gold package. That seems like not enough interest to make it a real marketable bid. I have a hunch it will be re-offered after the bid deadline of May 1. I don't really have an urgent need for Logos 5 but would buy it if it was offered at a real bargain price, maybe less than $ 200 for the Gold
-
I notice I could get the Bronze Upgrade for $ 377.00. I'll have to think about that.

I had Bible Study Library (LE) back when I upgraded to Logos 4.

The seller is offering Logos Bible Software V5 Gold Base Package. The highest bid is now $ 600 and it will be open until May 1. I'm considering it but was curious how that is transferred. Since I have Logos 4 under a different ID, then just upgrading the engine may be sufficient. Would my present resources get all the tags required for Logos 5 to properly
Thanks Dan for the link to the group. I just posted there also and pointed it to eBay. Really grateful for the information and again kudos to Logos!!
I just noticed an ad on eBay for Logos 5. If I purchased it, how do I get the right to use the software? Do I get a license number and then contact Logos? Does
Because you copied it there? Seriously, how did you load your new PC? The likely scenario is that you never completely removed Logos 4 from your old computer and so the data transfer to your new computer simply picked it up. Because it was copied not installed you get the situation you describe.
Thanks, I do see under

I had purchased Logos 4 several years ago. However, when I purchased a new Window 8.1 PC, I did not install Logos 4 but when I go to Apps on the Start Menu, Logos 4 appears. It does not appear in my installed programs and features. How come it still shows in my Apps?

You can actually get the Kindle version for J. Vernon McGee's Notes for $ 52.99 for Volumes 1-5: Genesis through Revelation. Of 109 user reviews there 100 are five star and there are zero one star reviews. It looks like a great commentary. Kindle highlights and notes are automatically saved online by Amazon from which site they could be copied and pasted

I saw the Logos Bible App in the Cloud on my Kindle HDX. I downloaded it and then tried to run it. Again, a big warning came up that it requires Location Based Services noting I had turned it off. This is the only App which sends this kind of warning to me and I have dozens of Apps loaded. Thus, I did not install it. Can that requirement be turned off
-
I'm not sure what you mean by this. In Android, permissions are requested statically and you cannot turn off a permission request while the app is running. It's just not possible. I'm interested to know what you're referring to with The Weather Channel and AccuWeather, since I do know they're not actually removing the permission
-
Could the programmers turn off that permission requirement for Location Based Services as part of the installation? The question kept coming up on the HD when I had Logos Bible installed every time I opened it. Just checking it in the settings does not end the continuous request when opening the app. The only other Apps I had which used it, The Weather

The Logos Bible App requires that Location Based Services be turned on. That "feature" tends to drain batteries. I have GSam Battery Monitor on both my Kindle Fire HD and my Kindle Fire HDX and it clearly shows which Apps are using current and how much. I had to turn off Location Based Services on both. I used to have Logos Bible App on the HD but uninstalled
Sir Maru, most of Logos books can be downloaded to your Kindle Fire. Those that cannot is due to publisher restrictions. Take a look at their training video for the Kindle Fire https://www.logos.com/training/kindlefire The app is being updated as they add new features.
I have Logos Android App on my Kindle Fire
Again my question is - Is Logos 5 simpler to use than Logos, is it designed for average dummy pastors or brilliant academics? (I notice there are no tags in the list for easier or simpler, so I guess I gat my answer from the brilliant boffins who have decided to place this above the level of an average pastor. Thanks

Do a long hold on a verse. Then move the right and left arrows to the beginning and end of what you want to copy. Tap copy in the menu appearing above the verse. Open Springpad and then open a document there. Do a long hold in the empty body and the "Paste" option will appear. Tap it and the verse from Bible (Logos) will be pasted there. From Springpad

If Android OS is using 99% of battery power, something is wrong. See my post up above for my app usage. There should be lots of apps using power unless nothing is installed. My last cycles got 8 hours to 12 hours active time. Thus, your battery life seems the same as mine. I don't see anything wrong there. The main screen of GSam should show Active

Then the solution is to keep Location Based Services off all the time unless one specifically wants to access a Faithlife group or use a Proclaim presentation. After those uses are completed, turn Location Bases Services off again. Probably within 6 months a future Amazon firmware upgrade will probably clear the issue. Maybe you should report it to
