• Re: Reinstall Logos 4 on an External Hard Drive

Rob, When you go to the Logos site and install Logos 4, it first downloads Logos4Setup.exe. I saved that file for myself in case I need it in the future. I am pretty sure that, if you first uninstall Logos 4 and go to the Logos site, you will get that program again. This time save it for future use. Before you uninstall Logos 4, copy the entire Logos

  • Re: Creating my own standard layout

Just click on Layouts Down Arrow, then click on "Snapshots" for the Layout your want and type in a name. Once named, you can drag it up to the Tool Bar on top of the screen. To get it back, just click on the icon on the Tool Bar. You can also click "Customize" at the bottom of the Home Screen to uncheck "Show Home Page at Startup." Then you will always

It seems all the Logos 4 install problems are with Windows 7. So far I have not seen one installation problem here when using Windows XP. Maybe Logos 4 needs an upgrade for Windows 7.
I'm not sure whether or not the Sony handles pdf file natively (I think it does),
PDF and ePub files clash on the Sony PRS 900 so I had to delete all my PDF files there. It causes problems with their bookmarks - a bug yet to be resolved. I'd like to see a Logos ePub file available. Right now I use a Zondervan NIV ePub Bible

  • Re: Solution to Note problem

Doug, I agree. Logos should improve version 4 to allow export and import of Notes in a variety of formats possibly to include Excel, OneNote, Text, Word and many others. Otherwise, our Notes become trapped in the current version and must be developed or copied all over each time we upgrade. However, for those of us, who maintain supplementary Bibles

  • Solution to Note problem

I notice that Notes from Logos 3 cannot directly be loaded to Logos 4. I understand that work is underway to allow their import but retention of Logos 3 on one's hard disk may be required. I already uninstalled Logos 3 but kept the three Note files. Thus, it appears that our Notes may not be transferrable to new Bibles in the future whether thay are

  • Re: I'm back to L3, leaving L4 for I don't know how long…

Hans, You can set up a layout for use and only go to that page when done. Also, you can customize Home Page NEVER to be used at startup. Also, at Settings uncheck "Automatically Download Updates." Then, you can request updates from Logos on disk every 6 months and never use the Internet again.

  • Re: Logos crashing on startup

Zach, Any software having mysterious problems usually can be fixed with a clean install. To do that, first uninstall from the control panel. Then re-boot. Then delete any directories left on the PC. Then use regedit to delete any traces of the program in the registry. Then re-install. Sometimes the directories and/or the registry get erroneous information

  • Re: Bible Reading Feature Fast Load

You can already do that by clicking "Customize" on the lower left corner of the Home pane and unchecking "Show Homepage at Startup." Then under "Tool" \ Program Settings click No for "Automatically Download Updates." Set up a standard layout for your Bible Study and do all research from that layout. It opens much faster and does everything else faster

Under Tools \ Settings \ General just turn off "Automatically Download Updates." Then you can update whenever you have the time manually.

I'd like to see Logos 4 available for use on my 3G wireless connected Sony PRS-900 eReader. I always use the latter when away from my home and it would be great if my Logos 4 application was on it. As it is, everytime I post a Note to my Logos 4 PC application, I now have to post the same note to my Sony eBible from Zondervan - duplicate work for me

It is very dangerous to list anything real in an online Forum profile. Thieves and criminals using sophisticated software are everywhere on the Internet and can abuse that information. Mark, Anytime a software product has major performance problems, it may pay to uninstall from "Add/Remove Programs" under Control Panel, remove all directories, Logos4 is in Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data, open registry with "Regedit" and under "Software" under HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE delete the

Just set up your own Layout for your Reading Plan with only windows you want. I have my Bible Reading Plan linked to the NIV and only the following: 1 NIV, KJV, ME, MUHH, 4 Note files in the Main Pane. 2. Bible Knowledge Commentary in one side Pane. 3. Dictionaries in a smaller side pane. Click on the JPG file uploaded with this post to see how it looks
