• BUG - All Tabs Highlighted after Using Reading View

The title says it all. Open a resource in "Reading View." Then exit reading view and all tabs show the little highlight at the top of their title that should only show when you are sliding your mouse over the tab. I'm using Mac version 5.0a SR-3.

F11 doesn't do anything on my computer. I'm clicking a resource icon and selecting "show reading view" and then deselecting it to return to a normal view. Attached are screenshots showing how all tabs "light up" on entering reading view and then how they remain highlighted with light after closing reading view.
In principle, yes. Personally, I use Drop Box to sync my .docx files.
I also keep all my teaching notes and working documents on Dropbox for instant backup and accessibility.

  • Re: Have to "Force Quit" to Quit Logos 5

If I open Logos and close it quickly (let's say less than 30 minutes) it usually closes fine. However on the more normal scenario where I close it after it being open for several days or when Logos is updating itself, I always have to "Force Quit." I don't wait long now before I do it because I expect it but in the past waiting never changed anything

Then why do you own Biblical software which has a plethora of others thoughts, writings intwined within it and that presents these thoughts at a single click.
Well because there are certain opinions and information

  • [unresolved]Bug: Keyboard shortcut Cmd+G No Longer works with Copy Bible Verses

The title says it all. Every since I upgraded to Logos 6, the shortcut Cmd+G that should focus the field to enter a passage no longer works. It seems small, but it's annoying to have to click the mouse overtime when I used to be able to do it all from keyboard.

  • Re: Bug: Keyboard shortcut Cmd+G No Longer works with Copy Bible Verses

I'm on 10.10.2 and Logos 6.1.0.0016. The shortcut stopped working when I installed Logos 6 and hasn't worked since. It always worked in Logos 5. I can't think of anything that would affect Cmd+G. That key combination works in other apps that use it for a shortcut just fine.

  • Re: Bug on Mac - Cmd + G No longer works on the Copy Bible Verses Tool

That would be great - I used it all the time before Logos 6 and really miss it.

  • [ACK] Bug on Mac - Replace with Passage Service in Word does not copy formatting correctly

See the attached screen print from Word for an example. In the first pasted verse I went to Logos and used the copy Bible verses tool to copy the verse and pasted it. In the second example I used the "Replace with Passage" service. You can see two problems: 1. Notice that the verse numbers are no longer superscript. This is a bug that has continued

  • Re: Bug: Replace With Passage Service on Mac does not Format verses correctly

This is an old post, but unfortunately this bug persists. It is still a problem in the current version of Logos. I wish they would fix it because it would save me from having to switch to Logos and use the CBV tool rather than being able to insert verses directly in Word. I'm not quick sure why this one hasn't been fixed. I know it's at least 2 years

  • Re: 5.1 (5.1.0.0943) is available for download

Is it just me, or are passage headings really pixelated in this release? It looks pretty rough on my Mac. See the attached screenshot - the headings actually look worse on the computer.

  • Do I need to Backup Logos?

The question says it all. I backup my Mac using Time Machine every week or so. Plus, I use Backblaze to constantly backup all my data. Given that Logos can always download my resources and notes and highlights are synched, is there any reason to backup all the Logos files to Backblaze? The only thing i would lose if everything crashed would be any books

  • Re: Do I need to Backup Logos?
The Time Machine weekly backup would also be a feasible recovery for Logos if you can selectively recover folders/applications (otherwise it's only useful for recovery of the complete machine).
Yes, Time Machine lets you pick a folder or file from any date it has a backup for in addition to a complete recovery.

  • Could Someone Explain the new "Active Layout" added in 5.0b?

Maybe this should be obvious, but what do the release notes mean by "added the concept of active layout?"

  • Re: How to Restore Highlighter Styles

Nevermind, I just saw that you can click on the icon and see what kind it is. Mine were changed to "no highlight." Since I don't have any intentionally "no highlight" is there a way to restyle all "no highlights" back to the style I changed it from?

  • Copying References from a Search

Is there any straightforward way to copy the references that match a search? I frequently need to copy just the references matching a search to a Word document. Right now the only way I can get it to work is through exporting to Excel and then copying and pasting and reformatting which is an awkward process. There should be a way to select all matches

  • Re: Bug - Notes do not scroll when adding a new entry

Here's how to reproduce the bug: 1. Have the notes file open in Logos4, but not active. 2. Choose a verse and select the notes file that is open, but not currently active (such as a different notes file form the last one you added a note to). 3. The notes file activates, but does not scroll to the entry box. My guess is that you had the notes file active

Easy to reproduce. 1. Start Logos. 2. Open " Old Testament Quotations and Allusions in the New Testament " by Jones. 3. Change the default text to the LGNTI 4. Logos crashes.

  • Re: Bug: Replace with Passage Still does not Copy Bible Verses Correctly

I'm not talking about the Logos "Smart Tag". I'm on OSX, not Windows. Word is where I experience this problem, but it is a problem in any application where I use the Replace with Passage service. In every case, it does not include the formatting that is included when I use the CBV tool. This is a bug because Replace with Passage should be doing exactly
