• Re: Is Font Scaling Broken in 4.5?

Here's a screen shot. Notice how the middle texts seem like the font is extremely large. I'm just learning Logos after moving from Accordance, so maybe I'm missing something obvious, but this didn't show up until I upgraded to 4.5. This is with font size set to 100%.

  • Re: How do you link multiple verses in 4.5?

My point though is that if it's a single verse I just can use that verse as the link. I don't have to create some sort of logos specific hyperlink structure. Is it not possible to do that for a range of verses or more than one verse? If that's the case it sounds like a bug, especially if the Windows product can handle it.

  • Re: Is Font Scaling Broken in 4.5?

Actually all the font sliders are on the default which, on my computer, is the 3rd mark. I can try using that to fix things but that means I'll have to constantly reset it when I open new tabs

  • Re: How do you link multiple verses in 4.5?

I'm on Mac, not Windows 7. It does not create any hyperlinks automatically (which is frustrating). The ones I created manually aren't working either and I'm pretty sure they were before 4.5. This sounds like a bug.

A restart does not fix the problem. It's still broken. Sounds like a bug I need to report

  • BUG - In 4.5 cannot create link to multiple verses that are not sequential

In 4.5, I cannot create a link to verses that are non-sequential. For example, Matthew 1:1 works as a link, Matthew 1:1-3 works as a link, but Matthew 1:1,3 does not create a link that works.

It doesn't have to be one link, it can be two. However, no links at all are created. That's the problem.

  • Re: Which is the best program for a Mac and Ipad user?

I think the best thing would be to watch the videos of both and even download the demo version of each which gives you a little familiarity with it. It's hard to call one "best" as they are different and excel in different areas. In general Accordance is a little more Mac like and shines on original language research (though Logos is getting much better
Very happy with Logos (and also A...., the program i assume you have now). No great issues yet, I mainly use Logos for looking up commentaries. I use A. for texual searches (greek and hebrew construct searches), its much faster now for that, but I assume Logos is moving forwards Great people here on the forum, always willing to

  • Is Logos 4 Stable for Anyone on Lion? (dev input would be appreciated)

I've used that other Mac Bible software for years and it's always been very fast and almost completely rock solid. I understand that Logos is slow due to the architecture, but I'm concerned about people saying it crashes multiple times and day and they come back to it and find it completely unresponsive. If I switch to Logos in order to access some

I'd be thrilled to hear, even if it took 12 months, that Logos was going to go with a native Mac solution....
Many, many person-years of effort have gone into our common code. Replacing it all with Objective-C or C++ code would be a five-year project (at least), and it would likely result in a product with more bugs because the code wouldn't be as thoroughly tested as the current common code.
I completely understand that

  • How to assign a tool to a panel?

How do you assign a specific tool to a specific panel? For example, I have a four panel layout that I'm using for a certain study. When I open the text comparison tool I want it to open on a certain panel where it has more room to display the verses. However, it always opens in a different panel when I open it. I've dragged it over to the large panel

  • Re: Changed Mac User name and now cannot open resources

Nevermind. Logos has reindexed the library and fixed itself. The only thing I did was change the plist file for Logos' launch agent, but that was just the path to the log files. Whether that helped or not. It's working now.

  • How do I Turn off the default Search Filter?

The default filter that highlights verses in an open Bible that match the current search is usually helpful, but at times distracting. There are times I don't want those words highlighted in my Bible text, but also do not want to clear the search. Is there a way to toggle whether search results are highlighted in your open Bibles?

  • Re: How do I set the Style used by Replace with Passage?

I wonder if there's a small bug in it then. I use a custom style I defined and it mostly matches my style, but the verse numbers do not come across superscript. It's almost like it's copying it as straight text without styling but I don't know how to verify.

  • Can I use Clause Search to Find Locations?

For a research project, I am wanting to find every place in the prophets that a specific geographical location was mentioned (i.e. Israel, Jerusalem, Egypt, Cush, Assyria, etc). Is there a way to do this with clause search?

  • Is there a way to set font size for all resources?

The question says it all. With the setup I have, I prefer to have resources use the smallest setting on the slider for font size. However, every time I open a new resource I have to reset the slider. Is there a way to just default all resources to use the smallest font size setting?
