And if he gets there, does it matter that he himself doesn't believe what Matthew believes? That's for you to decide. As I said earlier, I've found the series useful in academic work, though much less so for preaching.
Matters to me.

  • Re: Cloud Computing: Why you can't sync selectively

Cloud computing is fine for mobile applications and will be much more viable when WiFi communications in America catches up with the demand. On my desktop though I prefer to not have to rely on the cloud to get my data. I want it local for speed and accessibility. If logos ever abandons local resources on my desktop or laptop then I will look for an

  • Re: Plans for a more functional iPad version?

I understand the frustration of not having full functionality in our iPad Logos app but it is a mobile device which we purchased knowing it would require either a wifi network or 3G Cellular network to access online data. Logos has always advertised their app as being a mobile app accessible via the cloud. In other words the app works the way it was

  • Re: Got my learn Greek and Hebrew today

These are Greek scholars behind this production and they could miss something obvious and important before release? Did no one view or edit this before producing? Kind of makes you wonder if they are too busy trying to push products out the door that they aren't paying attention to quality issues like they should. But, none of us are perfect so we can

I see a lot more errors in ebooks than I ever remember seeing in print editions.

That's what I was going to suggest also, handbrake is a great app for video conversion.

  • Narrowing the scope of bible searches

Is there a command in the search tool to narrow the scope of a search to just the New Testament or a Book of the bible?

  • Re: iPad - About to make the purchase

I think it's like anything, get what you can afford. For me I settled for the 16GB but I don't use it for music I too have an iPhone and iPod nano for that. I use it almost exclusively for web browsing, mobile entertainment, document display and note taking at church and staff meetings. It has replaced a lot of tasks I used to use my laptop/desktop

  • Bible Only

There may be an easy solution that I am missing but many times I would just like to open my favorite Bible version and type in a passage reference for reading. In the L4 Mac version I have not found where I need to go in the menus to do this. I know I can go to my library and find the NASB and open it but from my home page there should be an easier

  • Re: Logos 4 Mac. . . VERY POOR PERFORMANCE

So we basically have a windows port running through a translator? That is not what I thought I was purchasing when I was sold a Mac application (L4M). Nowhere do I remember seeing this in the pre-sale literature, all I remember seeing was that they were going to try and make an application that looked and functioned similar to each other not that they

  • Competitors iOS app

I think I'm going to have a new Bible Study Software package soon after seeing what Logos only Mac competitor is doing with their iOS application. No cloud with them, all modules sync to the device for full bible study implementation on your mobile device. This is what I was hoping when I got my iPhone because of the Logos app only to experience it

  • Re: Competitors iOS app

Tom, I know we may be violating the forum policy here but I would be interested to know what module/package of Accordance you use. They are very expensive and there is no way I could afford to gain what I already have with Logos but if I can at least get something that is stable for basic study purposes I could probably settle for less.

  • Re: Logos for iPhone 1.5.0 Release Notes

Mark, thanks for the info, I did end up calling and getting a refund. On top of that I also found most of the books in that collection on Amazon for the kindle app for free or at most .99 cents. That's like a 90% savings. Is there a quick way to see all of your offline resources without having to browse the entire library?

  • Fix one thing, break another.

I know you guys are working hard and there is progress but for a supposed product released for mass consumption this thing is nowhere near stable or complete. All of sudden in the latest release I can no longer use the "find in this pane" function when wanting to search for specific references in the BDAG. (this is the only resource I used this in and
On Mac and its software in general things tend to be smooth and easy, “user friendly” (25 years of experience here).
Don't forget Fast, Stable and Usable. I wonder if I could get a refund on everything I've purchased to work with Logos 4 since upgrading to it over a year ago?

  • Re: Denominations

It's all semantics. If you have a bunch of people meeting at different locations all claiming to be affiliated with a particular group or fellowship doesn't that technically make you a denomination whether you consider it that or not.
