• Re: Suggestion: Way to limit which books are available in Vyrso

I agree with the original poster of this thread. I want an easy way to select just the books I have downloaded to my device for use on Vyrso and if this is Logos answer for an ebook app then please make it like one and include features found in other reader apps like book marks, chapter breaks, etc.
Andrew, Not denying you have some frustrations, but I've been using Logos 4 for over two years on the same laptop (Toshiba) and haven't experienced on single download error, or any other error for that matter. Everyone I have personal contact with (other seminary students and pastors) who have Logos 4 love it as much as I
Thanks Alabama. I don't want to seem angry or obnoxious. I am simply trying to communicate my thoughts that it seems to be an unacceptable business model. I often come to the forums and search for my issue and find solutions. If I'm not mistaken, this should be our first step. Perhaps, I'm just lazy, but even having to come and search

Moreover, while I completely agree that we have performance and stability and parity issues we still need to address, the Mac user base does appear (based on what we see from inside Logos) to be split into "it never works for me" and "it always works for me" camps. I'm not sure what

Thanks Mike W, no I was not aware of that feature and will check it out, I was aware of working offline at startup but not that I could turn it off/on at will. I'll check into that as well. Good info.

  • That Syncing feeling

Why does it take so long for Logos to complete a sync process at start and finish and also seem to be constantly syncing during use? I look at my router and it doesn't appear to be doing anything while it is supposedly syncing and last evening it took over 15 minutes before logos completed the start up and then another 45 - 60 seconds to get the home
Bruce Shelley's Church History in Plain Language is a good, accessible read.
I agree with Allen. This is a good book though somewhat concise in content but thorough at the same time concerning the need to know information. I am using this text for an upcoming 8 week Church History class I'll be teaching this summer

  • Re: Logging in

I'm having this problem also and have had it for some time now. Just wondering why there has not been a simple answer posted here to such a simple issue. Every other app builder in existence does this without a problem but for some reason this is an unanswerable issue here. Why no options to keep logged in or a place in the app to store your user information
$$$, the only thing that really matters in business.
Like I said!!!! They'll print any ad that brings in the revenue. Can't wait to see the first biblical condom ads, the ones the with bible verses printed on them. I wonder if they would include Genesis 9:7 - "As for you, be fruitful and multiply; a ]"> Populate

I've stuck with Snow Leopard also, I had several programs I had purchased that my wife likes, granted they are games, but we both like a little mindless recreation sometimes. I don't need iOS features in my desktops that's what I have an iPad and iPhone for.

Any chance you'll consider making the sermon editor stand alone in the future. I don't necessarily prefer internet required features.

I did get the Logos 6 Core and am quite happy that I finally see the Logos we were promised when Logos 4 was announced but logos is no longer my goto bible study tool I just use it for the resources I had invested in all these years when I need them. I lost faith in Logos or Faithlife to deliver on their promises. That's where I'm at but doesn't mean

M J, I am too and have several programs that get updated on a regular basis and offer me a good deal as a previously registered user to upgrade. Some of these such as Sonar DAW, Accordance Bible Software, Logic Pro, etc cost similar in initial cost to Logos but when an upgrade out the cost is significantly lower and full featured. The most I've paid

I love it!! Lots of bug fixes over Logos 6. In other words fixing what we already paid for, what a deal!!!

That sounds like a good deal and one I could live with but after looking at it and its features it appears to be all cloud based so would be useless without an internet connection, is that correct?

  • Re: Really Faithlife or Logos whatever you call yourself.

So, my next question, how many of you answering in favor of Logos prices and practices actually purchase the products from your own pocket and how many are Ministers/Pastors who get to purchase study aids and software from an expense account setup by their church and funded by the offerings?
