• Re: Logos 4 Mac. . . VERY POOR PERFORMANCE

Chris, I guess you can keep having faith in Logos as Hebrews 11:1 states, "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

John, Look directly at the banner for the mobile iPhone/iPad advertisement and tell me that is not a false and misleading statement. Open and honest marketing practices right on the front page and not in some support page faq somewhere, that is what I am contending for and what I should expect from a Christian company. I know the programmers are working

  • Re: Pastors, help please.....

David, we study verse by verse a chapter at a time unless of course it is more conducive to stop before or after a chapter break to stay in context. We do not just study one verse per session.

Thomas, Yes I am familiar with Linux and the last iteration I saw from a co-worker looked very good and user friendly. The problem is that without 3rd party development support an OS cannot stand alone and expect to be successful. (Remember the Amiga, superior hardware/OS, no developers or major application support). And Yes, I agree about the abundance

  • Re: RC2 – Pushy Passage Guide in Layouts

I will start L4Mac, load my saved layout which has the passage guide embedded as the left most panel. I will then go to Icon on the left top side of the panel and choose float this panel from the drop down menu. It will float and then I place it behind my main layout window. I will begin to work in the layout with the floating panel out of view behind

I was just getting ready to mention this also, it displays fine but no longer allows right click functions. RC1/RC2

  • Re: Question for pastors whose churches use the NIV
I have a suggestion for pastors using the NIV...use the NASB.
I second that!!! I have not heard anything about this new NIV 2011 so has the "Nearly Inspired Version" become less so? What is the problem with the NIV 2011?

I have found that Accordance loads in a matter of seconds no matter what Mac I run it on. That's what you get with a true Mac application.
Yes there is, the solution is not to publish a date until after all of the i's have been dotted and all of the t's have been crossed.
Really, I wonder what happened with the initial release of the "Learn Hebrew and Greek with Logos 4". There definitely didn't appear to be any dotting or crossing on that product before

  • Re: Logos 4 Mac. . . VERY POOR PERFORMANCE

After seeing the changes in the new NIV, (I was never a fan of the original), I am glad this will not be an issue for me. But, I have the same situation with the NASB95, I actually prefer the previous, I believe it was the 1971 version. When texts change because of advancements in textual understanding and research that is one thing but when they change

FYI, RAM is memory (Random Access) and 500 GB is the size of your drive storage.

Kevin, I'm with you on the issue of storage. After reading some more reviews and your feedback on the MBA I think it is a viable alternative for those who want portability in a true computing platform but the storage capacity of the SSD drives is like taking a step backwards after being used to 500+ GB drives. It's almost like you'd have to dedicate

For the price they are asking for this joke of a device just buy a laptop. You can get entry level MacAir for just a couple of hundred more and have 2x + the computing power. You have to really want a Windows iPad wanna be to buy this thing.

I just ordered them yesterday under the pre-pub special (both volumes plus KB shortcut card) for $50 plus the outrageous shipping cost of $12. I hope they end up being useful and not just something else that sits on my bookshelf.

  • Re: Practical use for the" Learning to useGreek and Hebrew" videos

I opted for the Original Languages upgrade and added the BDAG separately which together was still less than the Scholar package which has a lot of books and stuff I am really not interested in. I have not started the course and was a little disappointed in some of the issues it had when released. For the money you would think the disks would have been

I do not believe the slate has the footprint of an iPad, it is much smaller and again crippled by Windows.

If the publishers have already given their permission for me to be able to purchase and download to my computer what is the issue with that same resource being available on my mobile device. Maybe Logos could come up with a way for us to copy the resource from our computers to the mobile devices for our use.

What upsets me is that I just paid $99 bucks for a collection of books I was looking forward to being able to read on my iPad only to find out after the fact that they are not available to download to my mobile devices. No where in the description did I find anything stating that "This product is not available for mobile use". I am becoming very soured
