I have been able to access the course while connected to the internet just fine but when I download the video files and try to work offline I get the message that they are not accessible even though Logos shows that I have downloaded them. Anyone else have this similar problem with this or any other course. Two of my other courses downloaded and worked

I know this is going to thoroughly surprise some of you who have followed my rants and criticism of Logos but thought I'd let you know I decided to upgrade anyway and look forward to the new features.
-
Any chance you'll consider making the sermon editor stand alone in the future. I don't necessarily prefer internet required features.

I did get the Logos 6 Core and am quite happy that I finally see the Logos we were promised when Logos 4 was announced but logos is no longer my goto bible study tool I just use it for the resources I had invested in all these years when I need them. I lost faith in Logos or Faithlife to deliver on their promises. That's where I'm at but doesn't mean

The Core Engine is free anything else especially the crossgrade price is outrageous for someone who already has an adequate library and doesn't need the fluff of the packages offered. Since Logos 6 is basically neutered without the datasets which are only available at the Crossgrade level, will I retain use of the datasets I have in logos 5 if I install

TCBlack, I checked out some of the features videos and I have to agree some of the new stuff is quite impressive if it works as advertised but when Investigating the upgrade paths I think the upgrade prices are just nuts. They appear to be offering little to nothing significant in the starter package which jumps an L5 user with an already significant

Is Logos 6 out of Alpha yet or should I wait a couple of years for it to be almost complete and ready for logos 7's Alpha release? Sorry but though Bob has been fair and upright towards unhappy customers like myself, I still have low confidence in their product releases since the days of Logos 4 for Mac. Add to that the continuing development of Logos

The idea of a reader app apart from logos was a great idea the only problem is that it is obviously just a cut and paste of the logos apps functionality instead of a truly functional eBook reader app. It has been around for sometime now and been updated a few times and we still have no bookmark function or efficient smooth paging or navigation as found

Logos 5 should be to the point of becoming a mature program that runs and behaves well but I am still experiencing random crashes on my macbook that just happen when I attempt to do just simple things. It is very random but one in particular that always occurs is anytime I access the timeline and switch to bible view, forget it, boom!! crash-restart

Try right clicking on one of the days entry and select delete, it should ask you if you want to delete just today or all future events. I was able to do this on my Mac and clear my calendar of the reading plan entries.

I'm not sure what direction Logos is going with the iOS apps but the latest one is just a mess to navigate compared to the earlier and simpler designed versions. It may include more functionality but the layout and navigation is tedious in my opinion.

Jack & Andy, thanks for the replies: I wasn't wanting to fall back on my critical ways either and I know the Logos versions are said to be tagged and searchable but I like Jack's advice that if it doesn't seem like a great deal then don't buy it. That's simple enough!!

I was about to purchase the collection on sale for Logos but decided to check on any print versions available and found you can get his complete works in kindle format for under $3 and enhanced versions of Vol's 1 - 3 for $1.99 each. Now having a hard time justifying $80 for the logos version since it's considered "Public Domain".

I went ahead with the Minimal cross grade option and all I'm going to say without accusation or slander toward anyone is so far I'm not seeing the supposed performance improvements on the Mac. Menu selections, layout views and wiki homepage are still sluggish and take to long to load. Going to give them a chance though that it's just early issues that

In the past I have been one of those not happy with my L4 Mac experience and have been quite vocal, in a virtual sense, on this forum about that but after receiving a personal email from Bob concerning my disappointment with L4 and reading in his response what I feel to be sincere regret that His product did not meet expectations, I truly felt shamed

If my memory is correct concerning databases and datasets, A dataset contains the resultant data of a search performed on a database to aid in speed of retrieval of requested data per a particular dataset. In other words some of the work has already been done for you and put in a more convenient and speedier place for retrieval.

Thanks Jack!!
Mark, I have nearly the same sentiments. After many years with Logos/Libronix, i have built an impressive library while taking advantage of pre pubs, sales, etc. I have L4 Portfolio and a number of special choice books and collections. I hardly see any value in purchasing more books just for the sake of the engine, and
fwiw, I have heard that Mac performance in 5 is much better. maybe when the free engine comes out, it will improve your own experience.
I really want to believe that and yes my experiences with the people of Logos and not just the entity behind the product has always been positive. Much of my frustration and comments
