I'd choose a used Mac or PC (running Linux) over a Chromebook. It's so restricted.

Maybe a subscription would suit you? I've found each new version very useful and good value for money. Depending on what you do and what you will read choose the package carefully for the books it contains.

Ah figured it out... there is no notification if you don't have auto download new resources enabled. They just show up in the library with a search and you have to download them manually. Oops

  • New purchases not downloading

Is there a problem with one of the servers? I can access my new purchase via app.logos.com but it won't download... Tried both my personal and office machines which are in different locations.

Please don't vote using more than one email address. It is likely that the system will detect that based on ip addresses and we could get our legit votes cancelled!

For none ubuntu systems. Follow the winehq installation guide. Avoid 64bit wine. You can use 32bit wine on a 64bit system. 64bit wine is not compatible enough for indexing to complete. For a usable system you need to choose 32bit. If folks install the 32bit version of wine-staging 4.21 or above best to go for 5.0rc2 and have the latest winetricks setting

Yeah - wine 5.0 rc 2 does not have ReOpenFile() implementation. You need to install the wine-staging version of wine if you want it to work. Most of what the wasta package does apart from install a patched version of wine is configuring your wine prefix. Installing .net etc. If that was all done already you can use wine-staging without wasta. But if

We currently have 16 votes in the wine app db. Over 19 would put us in the top 100. The top 10 apps have hundreds of votes. More votes may attract more dev attention and there are outstanding bugs that need dev support. Especially with 64bit indexing. If we could drum up votes based on the interest in this thread I think it would really help. Many thanks

It might help but there is at least one other show stopper bug for running in win10 mode. See: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=38306
How hard can it be? No, seriously! If we can get an Android and Mac version then why not Linux? Logos is the only reason I have to keep any one of my computers booting into Windoze. Now there is a workable online version I might ditch that as it's Windoze 7 and Logos say they will no longer support this. Well, I'm not
Did you need to install wasta-logos-setup? If so, why?
No you don't, your instructions do everything that it does except setting drr=gdi with winetricks. It's a bad idea because wasta-logos-setup is designed for ubuntu, can't be sure if it will work. I recommend to use Nick's instructions but do set drr=gdi otherwise you will
