Frank, I think I've seen this bug... Can you run it from the terminal and share the output? For a workaround I think you need to choose to do a minimal install and then when it has successfully indexed the first time you can add the rest of your books. The terminal output would be really helpful. The backtrace less so. It would also be helpful to know
Well - All of a Sudden a Serious Bug has appeared. I had it running perfectly on Kubuntu 18.04, then 19.04 via upgrade and finally 19.10 via upgrade. I wanted to try it out on a SSD. I have done a fresh install of Kubuntu 19.10, then followed the exact installation instructions and everything was running well when I went to

Bill if you get it going on a chromebook then please document your steps and share... I'm sure there will be others who own chromebooks that would be interested.

I've updated the instructions with a new step 4.15 to get you going again... I'm sure Rik will update the package but in the mean time this extra step gets you there. If anyone is updating it will sort them too. I can confirm I'm running kubuntu 19.10 with wine 4.18 and it is as good as ever.

Might have to check the agreement with launchpad though... posting it there might either break their hosting rules or in fact be implying it is open source?

Awesome! It's got to be a big win for them too. Surely it will bring a few extra customers into play who might otherwise have stayed with bibleworks or xiphos or something.

I recommend using a 32bit wine prefix on the 64bit system. You can move your documents and data into it.
I found a BUG: In the sermon editor I can't create an entry in the reference-box and in the subjet-box. When I type a reference (eg. John 3:16 ), nothing happens. There should be a choice of some references. I will add this bug to the google doc, ok?
Sorry this is your experience. It is working fine for me. Which

I have found that with a bigger library the indexer can report 0% but in fact is indexing and eventually it will complete. I'm not sure if it is faster or slower than in windows. If you have near 10k resources expect to leave indexing over night. With Logos Basic it takes maybe an hour or two.

Logos won't load at all on my phone at the moment but that's another story. I like the idea that notes be tied to the book I'm taking notes about or to be able to choose a particular notebook and have it stick with that until I change back. i.e. latest takes precedence or resource specific. It would be good to have the ability to change the preference

To clarify, the Logos installer is incorrectly assessing the presence of .net so far as I can tell. This is because of the windows version setting. You want win7 to run the logos installer and winxp to run logos. The setting should not make a difference except to apps that explicitly check for it. This is not entirely true with .net due to a bug. Which

Bill your problem is that the wine Windows Version is set too low for the Logos Installer. Not sure how that happened. I think you'll find it is set to winxp but you need min 7 for Logos to install. It might be you have to set it back to winxp for indexing to complete according to one bug report but we don't have that confirmed. This is something wine

I have a number of clippings files. Is it possible to convert them to notes? Should clippings be deprecated? Are they in fact deprecated? I don't see them in the web app.

A chromebook install is likely to be more complicated. I have problems running common linux apps on a chromebook such as libreoffice, musescore, gimp etc. Many get bundled in in flatpaks with 'hacks' already applied. I'm thinking it can probably be done but will require specific expertise. Bill your dotnet install has not worked. If you go back to the

Bill thanks for trying. The more people try the more issues we are managing to iron out. If you can share issues with using comments on the google doc or in the telegram group that would be ace.
