I currently have the iPad mini and I prefer it over my old iPad 3rd gen. The difference in the weight between the iPad Air and mini is not as great though so it really depends on what you are going to be doing. If you want to have two items on screen at the same time the Air will probably be easier to read, but for reading one book at a time I like

I thought about that after I posted. The internet is fun....
Would have been even better if it included the ability to change the reading font
You have the ability to adjust the font.

If you look in the panel menu for the videos in logos 5 you can download them.
I clicked "Download Media." Are there any indicators to tell me what has been downloaded thus far or the progress of the download? Or are the videos downloaded only as I play them? What folder sre they being downloaded

I agree, but the feature is already available for the audio version of the LEB. You can select what chapters of what books you want to download, so hopefully it will come with time.

Thanks, that is helpful on the PC or Mac, but what I really want is to be able to download content on my tablet (Android). I did not make that clear before, but the name is Mobile Ed after all ( :-P ).
-
I was sad to see today that Mobile Ed videos are only mobile when you have an internet connection. Is there going to be an option to download the videos for offline use at some point?

The amount of space required depends on what you have in your library. As an example I have L5 Platinum and a few random other collections and I am using 17 GB on my MacBook Air.
It would also be great if Logos would create a Chrome "packaged app". These apps are available offline and behave more like computer programs: http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9238906/Google_bares_Chrome_s_Trojan_strategy_with_native_style_packaged_apps http://www.businessinsider.com/googles-new-apps-are-bad-for-microsoft
We're really glad to hear you like the app... but the bad news is that updates won't be as frequent now that 1.0.0.0 is out. We're still waiting to see if Windows tablet UI gets enough traction to warrant a larger investment.
I'll take whatever I can get! 1.0 has most of what I really need on the go anyway. (Notes

Not to sound needy but its been a month since the last update. I keep checking the store for an update... Its killing me!!! Must have updates! But in all seriousness I really appreciate the work you guys are doing on this. Using the offline support almost daily, I can't thank you enough. Without it my Surface would be a little less useful.
I purchased Logos 4 about 2 weeks ago. Is there any help for me to get Logos 5? I still don't understand the packages, but I want to know where I stand first. I do want to benefit from the new "core" software even if I am not benefitting from newer book downloads. Can anyone explain to me my options, if any?
I am
I've put my email in. Are they open currently? CL
I think so, Dan posted on twitter that the phones would be open until 9 PM (PDT??) http://twitter.com/DanPritchett/status/264166146629070848
Yes I did but why should I have to downgrade to get a cross grade. i don't want new books and I wish to keep my Gold status. I have spent a lot of money and praised this program to people endlessly. And where is that info? All I got was a upgrade page that didn't explain any of this! I should not have to pay for a downgrade

I think the best rule when dealing with Logos is that "it never hurts to ask". They have some of the best customer support and sales people I have ever dealt with, never be afraid to pick up the phone and ask them.
Just happily took the plunge...
I believe that many are patiently waiting to enjoy clicking on the same icon....
-
Indeed, I really want to buy a Surface tablet, but unless Logos works on it I can't sell my iPad to get the Surface.

I just saw this Prepub and in an attempt to get more attention to it and save me 100's of dollars buying the paper copies I am bumping this thread...

But what about WinRT (ARM based) tablets, are there any plans for a metro style app for them. The Surface tablet looks very interesting but the first version will be based on WinRT, so it will not run desktop apps.
