Such a great idea!!! Is there a centralized planning group that sets these things up or is it strictly set up by individual users?
We never like publishing materials with errors or glitches. But we're constantly balancing competing business priorities and resources, along with users asking "when is it going to ship?"
I have a bit of an issue with this business philosophy... Your ok with shipping products with errors and glitches IF customers add

  • Re: Why the Typing Lag?

I have found... the LONGER the note/clipping file the SLOWER the response in typing (actually slower in just about every way... IE the longer the file the slower L4 responds in general... even multiple crashes when I've got my largest files open) I have had to make multiple notes/clippings for the same subject in order to get response time back to something

I'd say you've noticed correctly. The slant has seemed to pick up since the L4 release IMO.
Hi Jeremy, Like others, I don't know either... however Bob did make a very interesting point that's relevant. He commented that on the remaining features there was something like 5-10% of users who were vested in each feature---a different 5-10% on each one... And the data they looked at was on the usage stats to make Libronix better

  • Re: Printing in Logos 4 - Workaround

Robert, You got it right, it is a basic function that should have been there (IMO). I think there are a number of things that 'should have' been there when it came out that to me (and to many) are essential of ANY Bible Study program I use. Namely PRINTING and TOPIC searching. Who ever made the decisions to keep these out was missing the boat big-time

Personally still looking for Logos to upgrade topic search instead of the current down-grade from the L3 topic search. I know it has been said that L3 didn't efficiently do topic searches. However, L3 is STILL (8 mo. later) head/shoulders above L4 in topic searching. (which I used 20+ times a week)

  • Slow Response/Crashes in Large Clipping Files

I am finding that large clipping files are extremely slow to respond (ex. typing, opening, and closing). I also OFTEN crash when typing or moving around a large clipping file. (Large meaning 30+ individual clippings, I have some with more than 75) I'm wondering if it is the same with large note files? (my few note files are very small) I am having to

  • Re: Smarter than a lexicon? Really?

Ahhh... The classical: The Haves VS The Have Nots... If you don't know Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic... You can't quite preach as well as the rest of us. Like a pastor can't effectively use any language tools if he doesn't know the languages. Sounds a little Gnostic doesn't it? I have no formal language training. By using the tools provided by logos with

Ultralight, I appreciate your eloquent posts. I share some of your concerns. It seems that Logos didn't realize how well their new program was going to be received (as far as sales go) and they are having some issues in keeping up with the growth of their customer base. They certainly are not going to be perfect (I have to remind myself of this). Posts

  • Re: Unsure which package to get:

I think the Leaders Library is a great intro package. I had that and then upgraded to Scholars Gold. Honestly If I had it to do over again I probably would NOT have upgraded to Scholars Gold (I had a number of other resources in addition to the Leaders Library), and I would have instead focused on some resources I really needed/wanted like commentaries

  • Multiple Crashes When Typing

I know this is an issue esp. with older machines. My 3 yr. old notebook would fall into the 'older' category. However, while I have had SOME issues with L4 not keeping up with my typing, I've not had the crash issues that I am now having. My L4 seems slower (esp. not keeping up with my typing) and now on top of that if I don't give it enough time to

  • Re: Two L4 C Beta 4 Repeatable Crashes

I too am experiencing crashing when closing the program... (I click the red X) once I click it and it shuts down, it comes back with a crash warning. It is only doing it when I close down L4 and I am not experiencing any other sudden crash issues.

Still waiting for decent usable topics myself. L4 still a step back (long way back) from L3 in this important and critical function.
