Funny thing concerning this thread... I did that very thing the other day. Logos crashed and burned. Wouldn't even open. As soon as I reinstalled Prerequisites, Logos would run again. So the short answer to your question is... NO! Logos will not run without it! Trust me!

[quote user="Bob Schlessman"] [quote user="Jems"] May I suggest you take a look at http://downloadsoftwareuniverse.com/download.php?view.4332 as a better benching software,as it gives you a full reading. If I may make a suggestion to those who are thinking about buying hardware to making Logos run better- Before you buy anything, check your computer. 1. Open up the resource monitor (control alt delete). If you have Vista or 7, click on the "performance" tab. Identify the two meters-CPU Usage and Memory 2. Now, open up Logos, and watch to see what happens

Larry Yeah, I am quite impressed with the SSD's in Raid. While the read and write times are nice, what REALLY amps this system, are the seek times, less than 1 millisecond usually. Also, on larger files, the read-write times rocket. I think the threshold is 128k- When I bench my HD with ATTO Disk Benchmark, I get these speeds transfering 128K at doubling

So what you are saying....in a very nice way is... If I wasn't such a lazy but I could have found the information on the website myself! (Thanks for getting me the info!)

Anyone know if you can make vocab cards from logos 4? I know you could in 3. Any help would be appreciated.
-
No problem! Though I do find it hilarious that I basically have to reload logos 3 in order to make logos 4 pick up the license.
-
Paid upgrade to the 4 scholars gold... then paid more to upgrade to platinum. Actually, it took it a little while, but it found it and loaded fine. I wonder if I caught the system while it was doing maintenance or backup work?!
-
Is it immediate, or do I have to give the servers time to update between 3 and 4 on their end.
-
Thanks. I have it loaded as if it is Libronix... but it for some reason, I can't get it to come up in 4. I let the licenses sync, I shut it down. I shut down 4. I even typed in the sync command in hopes that it would force it. Nada! arghhhh.

Ok. So I am all excited because my new SESB 3.0 came and I finally get to use the Hebrew and Greek Ap. in Logos. Lo and behold, it is a Libronix based product and I cannot get 4 to recognize it for the life of me Anyone know of a solution or work around?

Cod? That is hilarious! Guess that answers what kind of fish this is.

Comment: I see a lot of frustration with Logos 4. I can understand it as I am just now able to load it onto my computer after 3 days of waiting (computer blue-screened first time, then I got an indexer error). I was quite frustrated for a while. However, This IS a brand new search engine. Over the next few weeks and months, I imagine Logos will work

I too am having the same problem. It was running fine and then I bluescreened. Now, nothing. I have 169 GB free, so I don't think it is a hard drive problem!
