  • Most used Bible version

I would really like to know the Bible most used by forum users. I wish we had a poll. That would be cool.

Not sure but it seems ESV wins out as the most used!

I have absolutely no authority on this forum, but it would grieve me if this thread led to a heated debate on the the relevancy/non-relevancy of the KJV today. I come from a people who are destroying themselves with this issue.

I'm a firm believer in the Eternal Security of the Believer. What I meant by "destroying" is their reputation among unbelievers because of constant bickering and contention on this subject and others.

Ted and David, you both have great spirits and I appreciate the comments. Ted, my favorite book on bible translations is "How to choose a bible version" by Robert L. Thomas. It is a Logos book and I have it in my library. Actually several years ago I bought it as a paperback before it became a Logos book. I loved it. Let me recommend bible-researcher

I realize it performs slower/faster on different systems. Nevertheless, I have 3 GB Ram, 2.2 GHz processing speed Intel Pentium Dual Core. 320 GB hard drive. It drags for the most part except for searching.

  • Speed greatly increased

I bought a new laptop a few months ago. It's been performing well, however I forgot all about my Advanced System Settings. I adjusted my last pc for best performance, I forgot about these settings for my NEW laptop until tonight. Wow! So much faster in every way!

  • Re: NASB77 vs NASB95

Mark, I have no problem finding it. I just can't us it in Text Comparison and it does not show up as a bible. Has no icon image either.

  • Old customer, new to the Forums

I'm a gradual mover so it took me a while to come over here from the NG's. I want to say a BIG THANKS to all those with critical minds in the Forums who make have made L3, and who are making L4 better. Without your critiquing and "persnicketyness" Logos would not be what it is today. Because of you, I have great hope that L4 will eventually meet everyone

  • NASB77 vs NASB95

3 years ago I paid $50.00 for the NASB77 so that I could use the Compare Bible Versions tool within L3. Now L4 does not recognize NASB77 as a bible so I cannot use Text Comparison with it. Also there is no image icon for the NASB77. Anything I can do about this? I love the Text Comparison Tool and it shines with this type of comparison. With L3 it works

  • Re: Logos 4 & Pre-1995 NASB

I posted about this same thing a couple of weeks ago. It is very interesting to see the differences in these versions by using "Compare Bible Versions" in L3 but L4 does not recognize NASB77 as a bible so it doesn't work. I think it will probabley be a long time before (if ever) this will be fixed because of so many other priorities. In my studies of

  • Re: Logos 4 & Pre-1995 NASB

Well, I went thru a period of time (probabley about 1995 thru 2003) in which I was consumed with bible translation study. The ASV was rated high in both it's textual basis, and it's method of literal translation. However some of it's footnotes where considered questionable from a conservative standpoint. The NASB77 corrected these footnotes which (in

I need some help. I have not purchased a L4 package but I am using the downloaded software with all of my L3 resources. I logged into on the mobile website but can only access about 30 books and only one commentary. Am I doing something wrong. I cannot access any of my own L4 books.

  • Re: Anyone like me?

I did talk to a sales representative and I was very disappointed. Very little discount was offered as compared to my loyalty and purchases over these 10 years. 25% off is offered even if you have never bought anything! A 10 year investor should definitley recieve more than this.

I think you misunderstood me Damian. The sales person I contacted was Jared Bryant. He gave me an extra 5% off. I have 972 Logos resources and MANY are included in the base packages. This comes to a point of perspective I guess. Glass half full/ half empty siuation. I think I deserve more of a discount, but I think I am in the minority considering most
