There is a new file, eirbib.lbxlls, on the FTP site (Nov.3) but it doesn't appear to alter either the number of locked or unlocked resources for me. Anyone know what this resource is?
One reason I keep locked resources on my system is because of the convenience of being able to search through the titles and get a description of the resource. It is ever so much simpler than going to the Logos web page.
I do that also for the same reason. It sure paid dividends when upgrading to an LBS4 product
Last July Bob Pritchett posted the following: Bob Pritchett Replied: Thu, Jul 16 2009 12:14 PM
I think if we accept the spirit of Bob's response, that should be enough to answer our questions on the subject.

I view my Logos collection as a Reference Library and so I have a large number of resources that I have accumulated over the years (6067 unlocked in LBS3 as well as about 1291 locked). As a result, I got a very good deal for me, $77 to upgrade to Platinum and $727 to upgrade to Portfolio. It didn't take long to make up my mind to upgrade to Portfolio

They are still in the beta forum up to SR-3 (v4.0.3.2492) You were part of the beta testing group - go there.

Hi Andy I beta tested LBS4 on Vista Home Basic and experienced no problems with it. Alex.

Come on Richard - reread the problem. This is NOT about why there are fewer resources in L4 than L3 but why on two computers with exactly the same resources in L3, that there are 2 less in L4 on one computer than the second one. Obviously there are two missing under L4 - L4 is supposed to take care of that. How can I be confident that I have all the
So you can use 3.0 along with 4.0 - but only for your library before the upgrade.
That's not really true. I must admit I have it a bit easier because I keep almost all the locked resources on my computer, so when I synch my licences on LBS3 all the products under LBS4 get unlocked (granted there may be a few features in LBS4
Can I run a bibliography to find what titles are installed & licensed? Can I run a bibliography of licensed but missing titles?
This has been one of my biggest complaints about LBS4!! You are not allowed to run a bibliography or in any way to print a list of what you have. Now they keep saying 'Trust us to get it

Isn't that a kind of backward way of looking at it? If Logos gave you full credit for everything you bought in the past, they'e owe YOU money for upgrading. But rather how much are you gaining in the upgrade needs to looked at. My upgrade cost was $727. One resource alone was worth more than $600 had I had to buy it separately, and the total amount

Are you logged in? The feature is still there under the Prepub listings. I did notice last night that if you go in from your own list of what you have ordered it doesn't give the information but since you've gone in from your own account which tells you how much etc that would hardly matter would it.

Synchronize your licences in Logos 3. That should do it.
The upgrade cost to Portfolio compared to the upgrade cost to the other collections seems awfully steep.
I don't know - it seems like Christmas to me! Upgrading to the Portfolio cost me just over $700. By the time I had gone through 3 pages of the comparison charts plus a couple of other items, I had received over

As far as I can see, the individual collections and 22 single books listed in the overall bundle come to $2161.69. That's only $162.69 more than you would pay for the bundle. I think I'll stick with the individual items that I might use - and is the price likely to increase from here???

"I wrote Zondervan on more than one occasion asking them to release their products on Logos, so now that they have done this, I am going to drop them a note of support. This is a brilliant development!" Yes!! Let's all do this instead of what is being proposed elsewhere in this thread to write to them asking for more and more price concessions. While

Here we go again. For years all I've heard is give us more and more and more. Then when they make it available the whining begins. Give it to us for less and less and less. Every Christmas the same sickening demand for everything to be practically given away by Logos. Which brings up another point that comes up frequently - the demand for individual

I see that the Isaiah 1-36 NAC came out in mid-July. Was this on prepub at some point or did it just show up out of the blue??? I can't believe I missed getting it if it was announced at all somewhere.

You can download your new resources as soon as they appear on the FTP site, usually quite a few days ahead of the resources going live. You cannot unlock the resource as long as it is 'LIVE' in your account because as soon as they process your order it will disappear from your account. Once that happens I usually just synchronize the licences with Logos
-
I don't think so, but if you start a project, post a note, and if someone else is already working on it, they'll probably let you know. That's happened in the past.

FTP site is ftp://ftp.logos.com/lbxbooks/ To synchronize your licences, (before you have a failure), go to Tools, Library Management, Synchronize Licenses. This works well with Prepubs when they come out too rather than going through the e-mail process.
