• Re: Loading Logos 4

I did a second install of L4 two weeks ago using the iso image availible for download. I assume your disk is probably the same as that. I have Platinum with a few extra resources. After the install there was 2.2 gig of updates to download. My L4 resources folder is nearly 8gig, so using the disc significantly drops what needs to be downloaded, but as
A couple quick follow up questions. 1. Is there a comprehensive list of shortcuts/hotkeys somewhere?
go to help in L4 (F1) and under basics click 'keyboard shortcuts'.

  • Re: Which version is right for me??

Good choice David, it should serve you well for many years to come. I got Scholars Gold last year with the idea of getting a good Bible program for life, so far its the best money I've ever spent for Bible Study work, and I'm only a year in!

Is there any chance we could get the option to pause downloads, instead of just cancel them? Especially for bigger downloads it would be very useful, and the others in my house that share the net with me would probably be most appreciative lol

  • should I? - WBC

Its so hard to resist these great christmas sales Logos is running at the moment. I'm wondering if I should get the WBC, the saving for it at the moment is awesome. I'm a sucker for bargains but so I don't want to unnecessarily spend money on something that I won't actually use that much. At the moment I have Logos Platinum, and I use the Pulpit Commentary

What is the point of the brackets in the command line? Is it essential or does it make the command work differently?

  • SUGG: Layout opton on L4 startup - anyone else interested?

I have three different layouts I use at the moment, with each one taking a bit to load on startup. I don't use the home page so Logos opens to where I left off. When I want to work with a different layout though, I need to wait for a layout to load that I'm not going to use, then once its loaded it takes a bit of time for it to close the current layout

After the latest update, it consistantly displays properly on my laptop monitor, but is still always black on my secondary monitor. Progress atleast.

  • Re: Information Window - More text available?

Do we have any idea if the infomation window will be modified to display full text from a resource? At the moment the window for me is near pointless as it doesn't display enough information from any sources, so I need to either open the resource or read from the popup window where my cursor is. I'd like to be able to turn off the pop-up display and

  • Re: Windows experience index base score and Logos 4

The Aero rating measures your graphics card actual speed, not necessarily the memory. So for most this would be the lowest score. My Aero score is 4.3, the next lowest is 5.5 (gaming graphics), and highest is 6.2 - processor and memory.

  • SUGG: Bible Explorer by alphabetical order

When reading through a Bible passage, and seeing something you would like to look into further, the Bible Explorer tool is really neat. It would be helpful if there was some order to the hits though. At the moment one just needs to browse through until they find what they're after. It would be nice to be able to easily know where the hyperlink is that

  • Infomation window

Just some quick questions about the information window. Mine comes up with multiple entries - .eg. below you can see I have two entries for Strong's Hebrew - both saying the same thing. Why is that? Also, the L3 information window gave just one entry generally like Strong's - but it gave the complete reference for that number, whereas L4 cuts it short

  • Re: Using a Commentary series to follow Bible Passages

Figured it out I think. Can one of you open a passage in Psalms, Revelation, and a chapter in Isaiah between 41-66, and see if the NAC follows or not? It looks like it doesn't work for me because I don't actually have those volumes of the commentary. They either aren't volumes included in the Gold edition of Logos, or these volumes haven't been integrated
