I had an idea while typing the previous message. As an experiment, I removed the Concordia Self-Study Commentary from my priority list altogether and then resubmitted the search. This time, instead of the Concordia Self-Study Commentary, the bottom-right pane had the Apologetics Study Bible. I'm wondering if Logos isn't treating the Lutheran Study Bible

Sure. From the Home Page, I type "Psalm 39" (not in the command bar, but in the box beneath), which takes me to the Passage Guide. It opens in a three-pane view (one long pane on the left with the passage guide, and two panes to the right - on the top are some Bibles I have prioritized - ESV, NKJ, Lexham LXX Interlinear, Logos LXX, BHS/WHM 4.2, and

It's consistent across every passage I've tried. What I want to be my priority commentary is a study Bible, which covers every section of the Scriptures.

  • Change default commentary

Hello, I've recently acquired the Lutheran Study Bible and would like to make it the Commentary that appears in the passage guide window when first opening it. I've made it the highest-priority commentary, and it is the first one *listed* under commentary, but I still have another volume appearing in the window when I first input a new passage. Is there

Same thing here, with ESV and NKJV. Trying to work on a sermon for a funeral in the morning, and it's driving me batty!

[quote user="Mike Binks"] Hi The information when buying the Mac Alpha is quite clear that there is no telephone support available - there can't be - the thing is still in the development phase and is moving so fast that no second level support person can hope to have the program details at their finger tips. In general it would not be in anyones interest

I'm having the same problem. (See [View:http://community.logos.com/forums/p/15761/120022.aspx#120022:550:0]for more details.) Unfortunately, my call to support gave me the advice, "you should post to the forums."

I called support today about a technical issue. After trying one extremely minor thing, I was told to post in the forums. I've done so, but that was extremely disappointing.

  • Re: Question about CD-Rom resource

I am having a similar problem with a CD-Rom I just bought, the Lutheran Study Bible from Concordia Publishing House. I installed it on my iMac at home on Saturday. Logos 4 Mac Alpha didn't recognize it, so I opened Libronix (Mac 1) and it discovered it immediately. After installing, I reopened Logos 4 and it was there (as I had hoped). So this morning

  • Re: What is the best...

In addition to those mentioned by Jeremy (all excellent recommendations), there is a very accessible biography by James Kittelson called "Luther the Reformer." I loved Oberman's work (it's probably my favorite), but if you're looking for a traditional biography following a linear pattern of Luther's life, you're better off with Brecht (if you have the

  • Re: Help setting up a Synopsis

I got a reply in the general L4 forum; this is how the Synopsis is supposed to look: 113288.aspx Here's how it looks for me: So, is this a not-ready-for-Mac-yet issue, or is it that I'm doing it wrong? Thanks in advance, guys.

To M.J. Smith: Thanks - the linking by (A), (B), etc. works on the Mac - it's seeing the Gospel parallels (e.g., Mk. 16, Mt. 28, Lk. 24, Jn. 20) side by side that I'm after. It looks like that's still waiting to come to the Mac. Thanks again.

Ay carumba, that's exactly what I want! Well, it seems to me that I just need to wait. I'll keep using the dead tree versions for now. Thanks!

  • Help setting up a Synopsis

(I originally posted this in the general Logos 4 forum, but was told I should post it here instead.) Good Friday greetings to you all. I'm fairly new to Logos (currently using the Mac Alpha), and need some help understanding how to use the Synopsis (or set up parallel passages). When I did my Bible study primarily using paper books, I found great value

No - and it's working for me again (was flawless yesterday). If I have more problems, I'll try that. Thanks.

I am having the same problem. Either it sticks on "Preparing your library," or gets to the home page and then promptly crashes. I'm attaching my log file. 2477.Archive.zip

I am terrifically excited to see the beginnings of the Collections feature. It's the main reason I still open up the original Logos for Mac. What I can't seem to figure out is how to look at the Collections I've already created. Are there some pre-set collections? When I add them to a Passage Guide, quite a few books are showing up that I'm certain
