Thank you Father! I was trying to figure out how to use the theological dictionary from within the program itself when I highlight/click on the word Nazareth. That's where I was struggling. I took a screenshot below. Do I find the info you found through this process? Or must I open a dictionary of theology/exegesis separately and

One good way to investigate this type of question is by using Theological / Exegetical Dictionaries. Here is the entry from the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology and Exegesis , for example:
Ναζαρηνός G3716 (Nazarēnos) and Ναζωραῖος G3717 (Nazōraios), Nazarene, from Nazareth NT Both of these gentilics occur only in the NT

Currently the Print/Export screen uses whatever size text you have displayed. Most of the time I find this isn't what I want. As I use a high-DPI monitor, I have to make the text bigger than normal, but that means I need to change the text size everytime I want to print out part of a book. I would love it if I could adjust the text size directly on

I have Verbum installed, so won't see this new feature for now, but it looks like a great idea! That being said, apart from the option to reset in the Program Settings, I would suggest considering: Making the Help Card available from the ... menu in the upper right (of each tool, etc. where they are available). Integrating the videos directly in the

If I understand correctly, Martin wasn't asking how to open search, but how to search the Bible or resource you are currently using:
What I want to do is search my current bible for a word or phrase.
Even with the new redesign of the Moibile App search interface in v8.7 this is still way too difficult to do. 99

MJ's proposal of an overarching datatype would be my suggestion on this as well. Whether it is worth your while is for your to consider, as I'm sure it would imply some work. But it would be useful information for many academic articles and papers, and might help you solve a difficulty of what to do with datatypes for lesser Magisterial documents. And

Sounds great. I would even suggest major sources also get the AAS added as a second datatype if they don't have it already. It is somewhat common that academic publications require the AAS citation, so having it easily available in Verbum will just make finding that all the easier.

I just wanted to congratulate you for all the improvements in v8 Web App! It's gotten good enough that for the first time I recently bookmarked it on my Windows Taskbar. What I most appreciate about it compared to the desktop app is the speed.

I really like the new keyboard switcher. I'm not a fan of how it is covered by the Go arrow button in the Bible Word Study, however. I would prefer that the box were made a bit larger so that they can coexist side by side, as they do on the Morph search panel.

Release Notes describes the new Styled function. I think it's a great title - short and clear. That being said, for my part I had trouble understanding the "Lines" one. Apart from tooltips, another UI option could be to put a little question mark on the right hand side that opens up the Help file or give a popup explanation of each type of "Copy" functionality

Regarding my basic hopes for this tool.... As a general petition, what I would hope for on a most basic level from the Search Query builder is that it make inserting special commands for searches (such as the search extensions, etc.) as easy as possible. And that the options of what can be included within those search extensions also be easy to filter

Hi Phil, I've thought a lot about what the most important searches people need to learn to build are, which led eventually to the Advanced Search training videos , where I ran through those, trying to explain the logic behind them to offer a comprehensive overview of search on the platform. Always built off real life examples of what I or others I know

If I select a text, and then use the mouse scroll wheel to try to scroll further up or down in the resource (for example, to select more text than is visible), the new selection menu disables this functionality, and the scroll wheel doesn't do anything. If I click with the mouse on the resource scroll bar to move it up or down, then the selection menu

In the web app, Mobile Ed readings (in "Suggested Readings", "See Also", etc.) do not display or indicate in any way what book they are taken from. Please add that feature (present in the desktop app), as it is essential context. Thanks!

Congrats Rick! Pre-ordered and looking forward to it!

Here is a wonderful collection of prayers from the early Church Fathers... http://www.faithandworship.com/early_Christian_prayers.htm . Their prayers are directed to both God the Father and God the Son, quite freely. Prayers directly to the Holy Spirit are not as common, but also do exist - see the last prayer on this page as an example. I think the
Reduce excessive/disproportionate Hebrew-Aramaic font sizes in resources. This formatting issue is particularly bad in some resources. I'm not sure that BHQ is the worst offender and I realize that it will vary depending on one's setup (e.g., monitor, display settings, and fonts), but the default setting is HUGE compared to

Glad to hear you'll be working on this. Here are some things I would consider priorities: Ability to build complex searches using a sidebar/drop-down menu . We need to be able to use the amazing search capabilities of the software without having to remember how to write all the commands and curly brackets and so on. Build "Information management" into
