Kevin, I am sorry but it was I who was not clear when I posted the first post in this thread. But I was trying to get a feel for responsiveness more than anything and although I learned a lot about responsiveness from your videos, some of the posts above are more helpful because they specifically answer the time it takes to open Passage Guide given

I have waited long enough for a Windows tablet to compete with the iPad. Doesn't look promising anytime soon. So, I am probably ready for the iPad. The ONLY reason is because I want Logos on the go easier than with my laptop and a more effective screen experience than the iPhone. I searched YouTube and was surprised to find only one video demonstrating
-
Chris, this was one of my concerns also being single-tasking. With the new multi-tasking OS for the iPhone, many are saying that the iPad should be upgraded to this before the end of the year too. Do you think the ability to have both to-do AND Logos open at the same time will help reduce this annoyance to just a minor aggrevation? (Actually, with multi

Sam, I am IGNORANT of Greek (but I want to learn, got the Logos videos, and bought all of Mounce's books and have started) but I am okay with English having written about 85 books. I am going to make an educated guess as to where you are getting confused. I sure hope I don't confuse you more. The definition of "nominative" you stated seems to be the

In the online Logos 4 video #2 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgbPwTGs7Po) Morris has us use version 4 for the first time by entering Luke 2:1-7 from the Home Page. Then he says, "In mere moments..." but my screen, especially the left column, takes a minute or more to settle down. I have a new, high-speed 64-bit HP computer running only Logos as I
-
Yea, well, Steve and Rosie, The PROBLEM with both of your installs is you each have at least 500 more books in your library than me. Just rub it in my face! Some day I am going to have more than you and THEN I can really be spiritual! Then, I will have arrived! Greg

Mark, I found things to be different from Kevin. I am a Logos power user. That sounds egotistical but I need you to know my skill set so I say it to inform, not to brag in any way. Logos 4 is different enough to have made me sort of wallow around aimlessly until I followed EVERY page of MP's 2 manuals. There might be a middle ground - if you are truly
-
So... do many of you do this also? I go to Logos.com to order a book (for download, Logos 4, love the downloads!). So I find what I want, then see it's in a collection with a bunch of other stuff for only 10x the price so I click that instead. Then I see "related" items, and several minutes and many dollars later, I click to place the order and then

>>>Blame it on Adam And Bob Pritchett!

Dave, THANK YOU. I was surprised that nobody responded to my post for so long. I was beginning to wonder if I posted it correctly. But then again, touch screen PCs are just not the big thing for some reason. I am going to look into your HP Touchsmart. Just a quick follow-up - Can you use it as a basic laptop on the go, or is it designed to be fairly
-
I have no reason to "plug" anything. The HP can have the full install as any laptop can so offline searching is fine. The question would be the opposite if we were discussing any tablet item other than iPad. I don't see that my response was harsh. Sure wasn't meant to be. But an iPad should be able to do more than an iPhone and it appears with Logos

Reason #4938282 not to get an iPad. The HP Atom-based tablet PC seems to be the answer the iPad cannot supply. It comes out in May. I DO like Apple products! But the iPad after its hype is mediocre and to me appears to be little better than an iPhone with Logos.

Hello, My title says it all! Here is a rundown: I upgraded my Logos 6 Portfolio to Logos 7. I downloaded the LogosSetup.exe file. Ran the file, waited for the download, started Logos (or perhaps it started itself, I forget), and a big update occurred. When all updates were applied, I see no changes, so I restart Logos. Still looks the same, but I figure
-
Thank you, I'm an idiot because it showed both and I thought, I don't want to pay twice for the engine when I'm upgrading my entire Portfolio to 7! I hate excuses, but everything so so complex to know what to do now, and Logos Now just makes decisions even harder to know. I'll upgrade the Feature Set engine ASAP and I bet it all works great. Thank you

Bradley, Yep, all is well, it's all showing up in true and glorious Logos version 7!!!! And I want it on record that it took you about 5 minutes or less to respond to my original problem, give me the solution, and not only offer a way to save some money but also reminded me a second time about the money savings. Tell the Pritchetts you need a raise

Since all is working gloriously in full technicolor Version 7.0 (!!!) I thought for fun, I'd share this quick YouTube vid I made called: The HUGE Problem with the Logos Home Screen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-TxPrP1ecM It's quick, REAL quick, and isn't selling anything. It's just a Logos user observation I've made, very pro-Logos in spite of

I have been ignoring my L3 Notes file while exploring Logos now since the day i first downloaded Logos 4 back on the first day it went up for purchase. I sure need my notes in L4! So this weekend was the weekend to do it. Nope! And I truly know a lot about Logos. But I located a link on the site, referenced a few times in this forum, about updating

Please forgive me Mark. The LAST thing I want to do is waste others' time and that is what I just did. Yes, I am using the latest release and not the Beta. That is why I posted here, but given what you wrote, the material I referenced was probably in a Beta forum. Since I get RSS feeds of the forum and rarely come here directly, I did not pay enough

Arrgh! No, I meant Sync Now, not Sync All. Sorry to confuse! So does anyone know how to copy a collection set from one computer to another?
-
I thought basically everything I do is saved on the servers. I thought wrongly. I had created several collections since November when I installed 4. Last week I added a lot of books that I purchased at Camp Logos in Dallas. Then I began having indexing problems. Indexing refused to complete without stopping at an error. So I deleted my index folder
