Lynden, you are so correct and I was going to mention that in the video but... Two things: 1. Logos is the only company I do business with (okay, "Faithlife," but it'll always be Logos to me!) where I actually want to see ads for cool things I don't yet have. I like seeing the ads and I love getting emails for Pre-Pubs. (Don't get me started on Community

Since all is working gloriously in full technicolor Version 7.0 (!!!) I thought for fun, I'd share this quick YouTube vid I made called: The HUGE Problem with the Logos Home Screen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-TxPrP1ecM It's quick, REAL quick, and isn't selling anything. It's just a Logos user observation I've made, very pro-Logos in spite of

Bradley, Yep, all is well, it's all showing up in true and glorious Logos version 7!!!! And I want it on record that it took you about 5 minutes or less to respond to my original problem, give me the solution, and not only offer a way to save some money but also reminded me a second time about the money savings. Tell the Pritchetts you need a raise

Thank you, I'm an idiot because it showed both and I thought, I don't want to pay twice for the engine when I'm upgrading my entire Portfolio to 7! I hate excuses, but everything so so complex to know what to do now, and Logos Now just makes decisions even harder to know. I'll upgrade the Feature Set engine ASAP and I bet it all works great. Thank you

  • I Bought 7, Upgraded to 7, the Help-About says 7, But NO 7 features appear!

Hello, My title says it all! Here is a rundown: I upgraded my Logos 6 Portfolio to Logos 7. I downloaded the LogosSetup.exe file. Ran the file, waited for the download, started Logos (or perhaps it started itself, I forget), and a big update occurred. When all updates were applied, I see no changes, so I restart Logos. Still looks the same, but I figure

  • Re: NASB Formatted Differently from Others?

Thanks to all of you! I'll move forward knowing it's not just some crazy setting I haven't properly set. I've used Logos for years but typically set my Bible views to 3-columns. In that mode, the NASB appears a little more "paragraphy." Now that I've returned to wanting one single, wider column the line-by-line NASB really stands out and got me concerned

  • NASB Formatted Differently from Others?

Hi, I'm surprised that I can only get the NASB to format in separate verses instead of flowing in paragraphs. Is it me or is it the only way to display the NASB? My other Bibles can display in a paragraph style. Bibles such as the KJV or NKJV will flow the way I want them to: I do know about the Logos 6's option, "One Verse Per Line," but that is unchecked

  • Re: Ok here is where I get confused.

Sam, I am IGNORANT of Greek (but I want to learn, got the Logos videos, and bought all of Mounce's books and have started) but I am okay with English having written about 85 books. I am going to make an educated guess as to where you are getting confused. I sure hope I don't confuse you more. The definition of "nominative" you stated seems to be the

  • Re: iPad and Logos

Chris, this was one of my concerns also being single-tasking. With the new multi-tasking OS for the iPhone, many are saying that the iPad should be upgraded to this before the end of the year too. Do you think the ability to have both to-do AND Logos open at the same time will help reduce this annoyance to just a minor aggrevation? (Actually, with multi

Kevin, I am sorry but it was I who was not clear when I posted the first post in this thread. But I was trying to get a feel for responsiveness more than anything and although I learned a lot about responsiveness from your videos, some of the posts above are more helpful because they specifically answer the time it takes to open Passage Guide given

  • iPad and Logos

I have waited long enough for a Windows tablet to compete with the iPad. Doesn't look promising anytime soon. So, I am probably ready for the iPad. The ONLY reason is because I want Logos on the go easier than with my laptop and a more effective screen experience than the iPhone. I searched YouTube and was surprised to find only one video demonstrating

  • Re: iPad or HP slate?

I sure am waiting for the HP. Being able to use Logos and READ MY BOOKS EVEN IF THERE IS NO INTERNET/WIFI/3G CONNECTION is ultra-important. Want to go to the country and research in your Logos books with an iPad? Have fun finding a signal. Someone here said HP uses planned obsolescence which has never been the case with ANY HP item I have owned. I had

  • Re: IPAD

I have no reason to "plug" anything. The HP can have the full install as any laptop can so offline searching is fine. The question would be the opposite if we were discussing any tablet item other than iPad. I don't see that my response was harsh. Sure wasn't meant to be. But an iPad should be able to do more than an iPhone and it appears with Logos

Reason #4938282 not to get an iPad. The HP Atom-based tablet PC seems to be the answer the iPad cannot supply. It comes out in May. I DO like Apple products! But the iPad after its hype is mediocre and to me appears to be little better than an iPhone with Logos.

  • My Misguided Peeking at my Logos Library Book Count

So... do many of you do this also? I go to Logos.com to order a book (for download, Logos 4, love the downloads!). So I find what I want, then see it's in a collection with a bunch of other stuff for only 10x the price so I click that instead. Then I see "related" items, and several minutes and many dollars later, I click to place the order and then

  • Re: Windows Touch Screen Logos Possible vs iPad?

Kevin, that is a VERY good point that I also had not considered. I use that Age Control a lot in Logos. (What Age Control? The one on the Preferences menu. You know, the Age Control.) (You know that one with the big A's and the little A's and the older you get, the more towards the bigger A's we move it?) (I have to give Morris Proctor credit for that

Dave, THANK YOU. I was surprised that nobody responded to my post for so long. I was beginning to wonder if I posted it correctly. But then again, touch screen PCs are just not the big thing for some reason. I am going to look into your HP Touchsmart. Just a quick follow-up - Can you use it as a basic laptop on the go, or is it designed to be fairly
