...to a new machine. This must happen all the time, so there's bound to be a 'set piece' on it somewhere, and I think I've spotted something on the forums before. But I'm getting a new computer (Win 8) and, as I'm retiring my current machine, want to get Logos 5 up and running on the new one. The simple question is: what is the procedure for doing this

My birthday is in September, and Logos kindly gave me a $20 credit—and I'm in England.

Well-written, interesting, thought-provoking and balanced. As for myself, I'm a committed Logos man as far as my library is concerned. I also have quite a few theological books on Kindle (when not available in Logos), plus a small number of 'real' books on my shelf—I recently donated the majority (around 1200) of my 'real' theological books to a Bible

I'm in Penzance. Does that make me the most south-westerley Logos user in the UK, perhaps?

I've been a Logos user since the program came on floppy disks. Currently I'm running the latest release of Logos 5 and access it most days. I can honestly say that, in all these years, Logos has never crashed on me.

Not the classical view, but I recommend Edward Fudge's The Fire That Consumes .

Yes please - that would be a brilliant feature and I would use it a lot. DAVID

I find the translation a bit stilted in places, but overall it's a refreshing read. Paul's letters reflect some of the emphases highlighted by the work of N.T. Wright. For example, 'through faith in Christ' (most versions) is rendered 'through the faithfulness of the Messiah' (ISV). All credit to the translators for their boldness in this respect!

It's not in Logos, but to my mind a breakthrough volume on this subject is David Instone-Brewer's Divorce And Remarriage.
-
Both excellent books. Having got them both in Kindle format and all marked up, I'll probably not buy the Logos editions as well, but highly recommend them to other users.

Had to smile when loading Logos and it coincided with my peacock wallpaper!

I have Tom Wright's Surprised By Hope in my Logos library and want to search it for every mention of 'heaven*' using the Basic search. To my dismay it's apparently not possible! I can limit a search to a collection, so the only way to achieve my aim, I guess, is to create a new collection with that one book in it, then search it. But then I'd have to

A helpful tip, this one, Rosie. Many thanks!

I'm a long-time user, too. Based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, but now retired and trying (when the housing market perks up) to move to be near family in Cornwall.

It's the same as being tagged to a Bible, except it's to other books. For example, if you hover over a Bible reference, the text of that ref will pop up for you to read. If a writer quotes, say, from Bunyan's 'Pilgrim's Progress' and there is a superscript letter (or similar) in blue at the end of it, and assuming you have Bunyan's book in your library

After fiddling around for ages, I eventually settled on doing this subject manually. That enabled me to have two separate collections: Church history (general) Church history (writings from) Yes, a bit of work initially required to get these set up, but easy to add the odd new church history volume thereafter.

1. We need the ability to 'undownload' a book that has been downloaded to the SD card accidentally. 2. With the Greek interlinears I'd like to be able to choose which lines of info show or are hidden.

Yes, you fixed it. Thank you so much!

Thanks, Kevin. Yes, the Galaxy Fit is relatively low-res by today's standards, but there are thousands of them out there. Appreciate your drawing it to the attention of those who need to know.

I have a Galaxy Fit smartphone. Its screen is slightly lower resolution than some other phones. This means that the grey semicircle that you use for adjusting the split screen is very big - to the point where it obscures some of the text. Is there anything one can do to reduce its size?
