  • Re: Advance Notice: Logos Ending Windows XP Support October 26, 2012

I just learned of this thread and browsed it this morning for the first time, but haven't read every post. From my here and there browsing, it sounds like the majority are happy to see this change. Our two computers run XP on my desktop and Vista on my laptop. When I bought the laptop, Vista had just been released and I had the option of Vista or XP

  • Re: Logos4.exe v4.6 SR1 shown as malware by Avast

Looks like it's a pretty common issue this morning as tech support is getting lots of calls on it. They worked me through it by essentially doing what Pastor Joe said - excluded the Logos 4 folder, DLed the install MSI file and did a fix on the installation. Worked great! Karen's Hubby

Likewise...when I tried to run Logos, Avast prevented it and moved it to the Virus Chest. My concern is whether there has been a Win32Malware-gen infection or not. I ran a quick scan with MalwareBytes but found no infection, and will also run a full scan. While running the scan, Avast identified and moved a second file to the VirusChest, unp11707241

  • Re: Biblia.com only for Logos owners?

Thanks very much Dan! Exactly what I needed to know. I'm publishing a newsletter for the Cowboy Church we're attending and am including links to relevant and interesting web sites. I wanted to include Biblia.com, but didn't want to send folks to a site they can't use. Karen's Hubby

  • Biblia.com only for Logos owners?

Is Biblia.com only available to Logos owners, or can it be accessed by anybody? Thanks!

Wow...thank y'all for the replies. I can see now that I need to think about this a little more. I see that HIDING is not necessarily what I want to do, but that TAGGING and/or COLLECTIONS probably is. It's given me lots to explore and think about. I probably won't attempt to transfer anything, but had it been a no-cost kind of thing, might have given

Y'all...thanks for the welcome. I'm sure you'll see me again since I have lots of learning curve ahead, and I find forums invaluable. Thanks also for the quick replies. I see a lot of good suggestions and will definitely be checking into each one. It sounds like HIDING is probably what I'm looking for, but perhaps COLLECTIONS will help, or one of the

Alan...I assume that was tongue-in-cheek, ie, "how can one possibly have too many books?"

  • Too many books in my library

As a new Logos user (Sept 2011), I got carried away with the free books that were available, including the Perseus series, though I had no idea what I was getting into, nor if I'd ever use them. Now, my library listing is as "cluttered" with books as are my physical bookshelves - I'm a book-aholic - that I suspect I may never use. That makes it hard
