  • Collapse entries in sidebar

Don't know if this has been suggested before, but I think it would be helpful to be able to collapse everything under the main headings all at once - which would help reduce the scrolling necessary. I realize that this can be done manually - for example, for each book of the Bible, you can click on a book to expand or collapse it. But, there are many

  • Re: Red Letter not working in NKJV

That was it. Duh. I don't remember that causing this in the past, but maybe it did. Thanks.

  • Re: Red Letter not working in NKJV

I meant turning the setting off and then back on. It is working in the KJV, ESV, ASV and NIV. This is really strange.

  • Red Letter not working in NKJV

For some reason the Red Letters of Jesus feature is not working in the NKJV. I checked the KJV and it is working. This is a new installation on a new computer. It was working on the previous computer. This is the first I've tried it on the new computer, so I don't know if it has worked before on this machine - and if it just stopped or has never worked

  • Re: Indent has changed with one verse per line

Yes - same translation, same passage - Joel 2:28-31 - one previous screenshot from Logos 7, which behaved differently - and correctly.

Not sure what happened with the screen shots. They were showing when I posted. Anyway, it does work display correctly for some of the OT. I didn't realize this. The problem shows up in Joel 2:28-31 - which may be poetic format. However, in Logos 7, it indented directly under the first line. With the Logos 8 update it appears that this has changed. I

  • Indent has changed with one verse per line

Previously, with Bible formatting and one verse per line turned on, all lines would be indented and align with the first line. However, the current behavior is different with subsequent lines in a verse aligning on the left with the margin - that is, with the verse number. When copying a window for inserting into Powerpoint, for example, this does not

  • Re: Can't get to upgrade to 8

I had exited and restarted Logos 7 before and it didn't update - this time it did. Go figure. Thanks!

Yes - that is where I was - and I didn't receive a confirmation email. I tried it last night, as well - same problem. I'm currently in Israel - and sometimes websites with software installations don't like foreign IPs

  • Can't get to upgrade to 8

I'm a subscriber - and successfully purchased it for $0 - but the link in the order gives me a 404 error and I'm not receiving an email with the link. I'm currently out of the country - could that be the problem? Thanks, Dave ( dave@jamesjournal.org )

  • Re: Turn off highlighting in search results

This would be so easy to do - I wonder if a feature request would be considered. I realize it is a specialized situation why someone would want to do it - but I can't be the only one who uses it this way.

  • Turn off highlighting in search results

For my teaching, I do a lot of pasting logos windows into PowerPoint to display the text - from a floating window with just the Bible version I use. Also, I highlight certain verses before doing the copy and paste - using a yellow highlighter and red underline. Sometimes I find the passages doing a word search - and Logos highlights those words in the

  • Re: Personal Book Builder

Now that's interesting. Logos just installed an update - and my PB was open when I restarted Logos.

  • Re: Personal Book Builder

This is the same computer 5 was installed on. Also, I clicked on the "rebuild" file (but didn't start from scratch) - so I assume it has access to the original. I never get rid of those kinds of files - they are residing exactly where they were when I first created them. I'm fairly sure I opened this book on this computer in 5.

  • Personal Book Builder

I just tried opening a book I created in Logos 5 - and Logos says I don't have a license for it. Is this a known problem?

  • Re: Data folders after reinstallation

I have only one account and did not copy any data from another install. It's been at least a couple of years since I ran into this, before, but then, as I recall, it had something to do with indexing at certain points created duplicate folders with different (cryptic) names.

  • Data folders after reinstallation

I just did a repair of my Win8 installation - which left me needing to reinstall all of my programs. I now have a windows.old folder that has the entire directory structure of the original windows folder, and is 51 Gb in size - of which about 40Gb is in the Logos 5 data folder - with 4 sub-folders. I have also reinstalled Logos 5, and the new data folder

  • Re: Install: Error writing to file d:\logos4\system\AsyncStream.dll

Problem solved. Called Logos support - it looks like setting the compatibility on the setup.exe to Run as Administrator is what did it. (Don't know why I didn't think of that as I had gone through and set all the permissions for everything else.) Oh, well - up and running (and now downloading 1.3 Gb of updates!! (I only upgraded to Bronze - yikes!)

  • Install: Error writing to file d:\logos4\system\AsyncStream.dll

For some reason my upgrade to L5 is hanging with this problem and error message: "Error writing to file d:\logos4\system\AsyncStream.dll" (Retry / Cancel) I checked the properties of the noted system folder and it was set to read-only (for some reason) - so I turned off that attribute - still had the problem. I did the same for the entire Logos4 folder

  • Logos window and changing screen resolution problem

I have had experienced this problem on two different computers. (the only two I've used Logos 4 on). Both are high-end laptops with plenty of memory. This one has 16Gb RAM and 2Gb video RAM, newest video drivers, windows updates, Logos updates, etc. When I connect to a projector with a lower resolution than my laptop (and all are because of my hi-res
