The BOOX Max 2 ereader can apparently run the Google Play store; has anyone tried using the Logos app on this device?

  • Re: Ezekiel 41:7 and layperson's resources

Thanks Lew... what I found was that this form is only used in this single verse so I had nothing to compare it to; I had in mind the idea of a round building like the Roman colosseum that increases in width as it gets higher, but that the levels were or had been rotating; can that form indicate that there ever was physical movement?

  • Ezekiel 41:7 and layperson's resources

Can anyone offer an explanation of the second word in Ezekiel 41:7 tagged סבב@Vdp3FS Is this structure possibly in motion, rotating? Are there any resources that explain the grammar and morph codes in simpler layperson's terms? Thanks!

  • semantic dictionaries

I own the HALOT and BDAG dictionaries; will the other semantic domain dictionaries for Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek give me anything significant that is not already in the aforementioned dictionaries? Thanks!

  • lost quote

Hey guys... I'm looking for a quote that says something like: a man alone in a room with a Bible will know more what's going on in the world... The idea being that a Bible was more useful than a newspaper for current events, etc. I thought I had the quote but can't find it in my library and I can't remember where I read it... Anybody have that in their

  • Re: BDAG υποτάσσω

I normally wouldn't pay any attention to a secular source when doing a word study; but the Lucian idea caught my attention along with Hippocrates using hupotasso to explain the ulna bone of the forearm... The idea being under for support... I just think in Ephesians 5 the language is tender and submit doesn't seem like the greatest word for hupotasso

  • Re: BDAG υποτάσσω

I have a Liddell Scott dictionary that quotes Lucian Parasite 49 where one person puts themself under the shield of another... A tremendous picture I think... Is there a dictionary that would quote all known uses of a word? Or a must have book list that would cover all the bases in addition to BDAG?

Could someone please post the BDAG entry for υποτασσω so I can compare it with my other dictionaries before I buy it? Thanks!
