I have L4 Platinum. I know a lot of people are concerned about loosing a title of the software "level" but I could care less what my software level is. I just care about the content. If I keep all my books from L4 anyway and want to use the new features of L5 wouldn't getting the L5 starter version do this for me and essentially give me the new databases
Included in this release is an extension of the functionality of automatically generated indices for personal books. Please see the release notes for details. Here are some sample documents containing this extended functionality:

Personal Books Added new field types for Sermons and Illustrations. When these

It seems that Logos just stores the book files on the internal device memory, is that correct? Are there any plans or any way to configure Logos to store downloaded books to a microSD card? If it's possible it would be helpful since most Android devices have a memory card slot and it's an easy way to expand memory, and Logos book downloads are one of
John, I wasn't able to reproduce the angled text in the same way you were experiencing it but other users reported similar slanted text when viewing a table for the first time in the FSB app (on 4.1 devices). This I was able to reproduce and fix in the latest 2.1.1 beta. If you could test the new 2.1.1 beta and confirm if

Applying Solid Colors -> Yellow. Seems to be directly related to markups. Sometimes when I switch to page with markups this happens and it seems pretty reproducible by just adding this markup to existing text.

I'm on 2.0.11. I went straight to Android 4.1.1 update since I just purchased the device, so I don't know if this happened before or not. I do know it never occurred on my TF101 w/ ICS but obviously have no idea if it's 4.1.1 related, hardware related, or both. It may be markup related. I was testing different books and could not reproduce it. This

I just upgraded to an Asus TF300 and am on stock Android 4.1.1, the latest Asus update. The following image shows what happens in Logos usually after a few page turns. Once the text turns slated like this the only way to fix it is return fully to the home page (opening sidebar does not help) and then click "read" again to return to the reading panel
Logos 4 is designed with the thought in mind that everyone has Microsoft Word, uses Word for everything, and only wants to use Word for everything.
Personal opinion, but Word is an antiquated tool. Great for writing long documents, great for making pretty letters and fancy formatting for my sermon notes. Terrible
Well, if I remember right, Bob views notes as what you would write in the margins of your Bible. Here's some examples that would go in your Bible margins: 'Great thought!' or 'See Isa 4.15 ' or 'Wow!' If you follow the design of Logos, then the notes function works perfectly well. Now Jack's recommendation to 'turn off' Logos functions
Hi John When creating the note, there is a "attach to verse" tick box at the top of the dialog box. That should give you what you want Graham
Thanks Graham. I don't know what I was doing wrong before, since I make a point to attach notes to verses, but it worked this time. Thanks.

It appears that the file for where to save notes is simply alphabetical. This makes it challenging to be sure notes are in the right file when you are adding note after note and it's just another step to check. I'd find it highly useful to have the following feature. Option: Default Note File Options: (just always populates the note file which whatever

On L4 Desktop when I create notes attached to a reference there is no highlighting of the text, just the icon next to the reference. It appears the same in the Android App. When I create notes on Android attached to a reference the full text of the references is highlighted. I see where I can select different styles of highlighting but didn't see how
FYI... Logos is very well aware of this issue. Many many many many many many many people have complained about this issue. Logos has stated that this issue comes from WPF (the development platform that they used to create L4), and there is nothing that they can do about it. While there is some truth there (some other companies
You might have a setup issue. By default, the visual filter (three intersecting circles) for every open resource will try to scroll with every Note file you have created. When I turned off every visual filter except for the preferred Bible, the problem went away.
I'm doing this and appears I need to change this

I'm taking more and more notes in L4, especially now that I can view them on Android. I've noticed often that typing in notes in the Desktop app is really sluggish for me, especially on my laptop. It's a couple years old (dual core, 2.4 Ghz, 4Gb RAM) but it still seems that basic typing should be reasonably responsive. (I can get two/three words ahead

I'm just curious - do future plans for the Android app include the ability to open a notes file and to edit the notes file to edit and view notes as a file (including editing notes not attached to any references) or will notes really be limited to attaching/editing notes linked directly to a reference? Also, would there be a way where one could open

Dave - I didn't mean to be presumptious. It is at Logo's descretion to determine which versions and variants of Android they want to support. Generally speaking though every other app I have works fine on CM9. Since CM9 has 2 million + installs on unique devices it's hardly a niche varient anymore.

I think this issue is related to CM9 and maybe related AOSP builds. I noticed someone else posted they could not see markups in "Normal" light mode and they were are on a HP Touchpad, so likely also using Cyanaogenmod. I loaded another ROM on my phone (based on stock Motorola) and now I can view highlights in "normal" mode. Hope that helps track down
