Yea, I noticed same problem this morning. I have leaders and was looking at silver. Several resources not noticed, like BDAG. I think it only highlights differences between package you own and package your thinking of upgrading to without consideration of other purchases. I too wondered if the price that was reflected took into account other purchases

If you go to tools, click on general, and go to alerts tab......I noticed it was checked if connected to internet to update resources. Isn't this along the lines of L4? Will L3 automatically update without me checking?
-
Not sure! I just upgraded from f to g. I noticed when I clicked on a greek word in the Lexham Greek English interlinear that the verse that I was clicking a word in wasn't the verse in the box, rather I chose a later verse down the page on the screen and my bdag found it and highlighted (which I already had enabled). This feature would only work (highlighted

I had to uninstall on my old xp. Software causes computer to freak and crash numerous times. My computer became unstable until I got rid of it. There are 2 things to delete in add/remove programs for logos 4.

I thought NWLT was the Jehovah witness bible. As far as versions, you will always have good and bad versions and you will have people who argue over semantics. Much of scripture is spiritually discerned, so I would assume that "cool" means I'm hip, as in "the in crowd" and I don't need a jacket! To be born again and to be still and know I am God gives

The calvinists teach the same dogma regardless of whether they use KJV, NKJV, ESV, or NASB. I think all 4 bibles are the best as far as conservitive English scholarship is concerned. I prefer ESV or NASB, mainly for readability. One thing you will battle is the fact that there are 2 main lines of Greek. The Textus Receptus and the Alexandrian Text

Richard, how much would that machine set me back, without monitor, mouse, spkrs, and keyboard. I have hope for a machine like that in the just under $500 category.
-
And for some of us, I guess time will run out. Since I have an obsolete computer for L4, I have a more pressing cash flow problem. At least I have L3.

Watch some of these videos. You should be able to easily set your defaults. http://www.logos.com/videos

my computer is 7 yrs old and I started a thread the other day. solution is get a newer computer. I have major freezing issues and I have crashed twice (the computer just did a restart). 1 thing we share in common is 32 bit. I think this monster needs 64 bit dual core processor. I think 4 Gig ram would do on like windows 7. Im no computer expert, but

They are right. The ANLEX will give you the inflected forms so you can use the manuscript form and have the parsing to go along with it. In this case you will have to use the lemma to go back to BDAG. Sometimes a manuscript is not in BDAG for example, so use ANLEX, especially if you didnt know lemma and work your way to BDAG. I like L&N too. L4 moves

Mark, I like what I have seen and I have noticed what Frank mentioned about lack of user controlled functions. I figure this computer, if alive, will be at least 8 yrs old or another yr to go before I can make the upgrade. I will def consider L4 at that time. All I did was download the engine, so I didn't make an early purchase and I enjoy L3, but L4

Well, I turned my firewall down from stealth to standard, and L4 is fully accepted by McAfee in permissions. Still, there is little to none on improvement while L3 is almost instant in function, except when initially opening program. I think video acceleration could be an issue and a while back I searched and searched to update video driver and all

V3 will run fine on your current machine. I have no idea how L4 will react. I use broadband for internet and have 8meg package which isn't shabby on the speed. Also, I have Leader's Library with many add-ons, but still just under 500 resources.

After downloading and indexing for another day of downloading and indexing, I think I'm up to date; however, as great as this program looks, my 7 yr old computer cannot handle this program. The program is slow, not fast as advertised and seems to freeze with occasional crazy colors or blotouts in the background. The program is totally inefficient with

Someone has already posted link on Logos' facebook page. The link I posted was what they posted.

Yes, there is a free logos 4 version that uses your logos 3 resources. Do not get rid of your logos 3. The upgrading options are awesome, but the bank is broke a little while longer for me. http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe

Yep, I'm frustrated. Downloading file plus 1.6 gig took 25 minutes. 1.5hr later I still have over 3 hrs of indexing to go. Anyway, I guess 1 gig of ram on a 2002 xp is outdated. Perhaps I can use this software tomorrow. This machine is so bogged down.

Should the forum add a category for Christians where we can bring our understanding together and mutually exhort and encourage each other? While I'm sure this is not Logos intent, I feel a lot could be learned. The downside is obvious. People on the forum can be dogmatic and sometimes dogma is purely unbiblical.
