• Re: Can't print highlights to MS Word
In my Hebrew class we created a visual filter that would be applied to the Hebrew text in a way that the colors would still be available when we cut and paste to Word. Our prof told us that the colored foreground options would be recognized by Word but many of the other formatting options would be lost so we need to be careful

(Word doesn't know what to do with the highlighting info…)
Keith, A few extra words about this. Logos offers many, many highlighting options, far more than what Word supports. Certainly some of the styles in Logos are equivalent to what Word can do but the majority of them have no equivalents

  • Can't print highlights to MS Word

I have highlights for a resource turned on in Visual Filters, and on the Print/Export screen the highlights are visible. If I print selected resource text to a printer or "print" to a PDF file the highlights are printed. But from the Print/Export screen if I select Send to new document: Microsoft Word (or Paste into open document: Microsoft Word), the
. . . Even more odd the temp stays there even with all other apps closed, Logos minimized and I am not actually using it. What can Logos possibly be doing that places that much load on the GPU? . . .
The one thing that is puzzling to me about this is why Logos is hitting the processor when it is not in use and
Bob, I am sorry but Rosie was incorrect in her statement. Use of the GPU is much more pervasive now.
Rosie didn't say these apps don't use the GPU, she said they don;t use WPF. The GPU is hardware; WPF is software which uses the GPU. It is possible to use the GPU without WPF.

  • Re: Vietnamese Bible?

Mark, Once again, that sure was some fast turnaround. The new compiled PBB works fine with the language specified as Vietnamese this time. Looks like it would be a bit more work to get the WBTC document in shape than I was thinking. I might give it a try, but not tonight. I'm no lawyer, but creating a PBB for personal use only would seem to be within

Mark, that is just super! I never cease to be amazed at the help available here, and this one really exceeded my expectations. I compiled your file and it works great in Logos. Yes, if its not too much to ask, I'd like to take you up on your offer to substitute Vietnamese book names. They are in the attached file. I know you said the other links were
. . . But you will still probably need to remove the footnotes. I'm guessing Mark's scripts just take simple Bible text with no footnotes. Converting those would be more work, though it would of course be nice to have them. . . .
The WBTC file does have footnotes, pericope titles, and page headers. I agree the first

Mark, could you take a look at this thread, where Rosie mentioned that you might be able to help with creating another non-English Bible PBB? http://community.logos.com/forums/p/45365/337889.aspx#337889 Thanks, Keith
There are various Vietnamese Bible translations online (there are two different public domain ones here and here ), and Mark Barnes has a pretty quick way of turning a digital Bible text into a PB Bible using scripts he's written. Maybe he'd be willing to do one for you if you download the text for him (for those two sites

Anyone know if there a Vietnamese Bible available for Logos 4? I've checked both Logos.com and posted PBB's and have found nothing.

I am looking for the effect much like you would find with ibooks, that has distinct turning pages so you

  • BUG: Another crash with footnotes displayed

My first crash issue (see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/44751.aspx) was fixed in 4.5 SR-4. But now I'm getting another similar crash under SR-4. This one is reproducible on my computer, but only with a highly specific situation. The screen shot below shows the New American Commentary, Hebrews (David Allen) as the active resource. The new feature in v4.5 to display footnotes is great, but seems to create a problem in selecting text, in the following situation (see the screen shot below). 1) Display a resource in two columns (without TOC). 2) The right column has a footnote at the bottom, the left column does not. 3) Begin selecting text in the left column a few rows higher than

I think Greg's issue (and I'm in the same boat) is that when moving to iPad v2 you have to remove all your downloaded books then re-download
