• Re: Suggestion: Highlighting in footnotes

I too like the new visible footnotes. Whether or not we can highlight them, I would also like to have the ability to select part or all of the footnote text and press ^C to copy the text for pasting into Word. (I know that the entire footnote can be copied from a Power Lookup window.)

  • Re: BUG: Failed download of resources when iPad sleeps

I don't think that one should be blamed on Logos. Change your iPad settings to never go to sleep. You can change it back after the download completes.

  • Re: BUG: Version 2.0.1 crashes on startup

Mine also crashes immediately on startup on my iPad 2 (which has >25 GB free), even after rebooting the ipad. Before v2 I had downloaded about 100 resources, and some of them have a good bit of highlighting on the desktop, which may be related to the problem. If I turn on Airplane mode on the iPad (to disable WiFi), Logos runs fine and can open resources

I'd like that on the Ipad version too.

  • Re: Personal Books on two computers

I have successfully built PBB's on one computer and copied the resulting files to my second computer. Logos recognized them and I was able to use them without apparent problems. The pbb files have a .lbspbb extension. On my computer they are stored in the following folder. (You would need to substitute your user name. Also I'm on Windows 7 and the folder

Charles, if you have a short-term deadline, such as a lesson to prepare, you could access your books via http://biblia.com then work on getting your problem fixed next week after Logos support opens.

  • Re: Referring to PBs in an academic paper

Google Books is a good tool to add to your arsenal for academic work. If a work is out of copyright, there’s a fair chance GB will have the full work available as a PDF download. It will have a photo-representation of each page so you can get the page numbers. But even for recent works, go into GB (or even just Google) and search for a long string of
WOuldn;t it be nice if Logos 4 had more than 9 bookmarks? I have 3500 books and often have to save more than 9 places. It would also be great to see a right click option for saving a bookmark.
Another approach is to save URL’s. When you are in a spot in a book which you would like to bookmark, press Ctrl-Alt-C to

is there any (legal) way
No. Kindle books have copy protection preventing you from doing so.
I suspected that might be the case, but wanted to ask to be sure. I keep running into books I want which are not available for Logos but are for Kindle.

  • Kindle to Logos??

If I purchase a Kindle book, is there any (legal) way to get it into my Logos for Windows library, such as creating a docx file from the Kindle book and then creating a PBB?

If it is able to sort by date then it is obviously storing the note creation date. I wonder if it has been storing the date all along or only starting with a recent beta?
L3 annotation files were in xml and they stored a creation datetime stamp.
In the latest beta 4.5 B4 there are sorting options within a Note file as below: While this doesn't show the date the note was added it does go someway towards addressing what is being discussed in this thread Graham
That is great to hear; I had been wanting the ability to sort by reference. If it is able to sort

  • Re: Spurious hits from “Match all word forms”

If Logos held the word list in RAM, then I think for a given search term, e.g., "authority," a table lookup returning all the word forms of "authority" would take less than 1/100 of a second. (I'm basing that on similar table lookups I've programmed using a binary search.) Then with the word forms in hand, Logos would proceed with the search through

  • Spurious hits from “Match all word forms”

The “Match all word forms” search option is a great feature but it sometimes gives spurious hits of words which are not actual word forms of the searched term. Two examples I’ve run into: A search expression which includes “conversion” will return occurrences of “conversation” (or vice versa) and a search expression which includes “authority” will return

  • Re: Perseus Collection: Administrative Overhead?

In Logos 3 adding resources would have slowed global searches. But in L4 since every word of every resource is indexed, I don't think there should be a material impact to search speed. As Mark noted, the indexing process itself will be slower. That should be proportionate not to the number of additional resources but to their size. Another note - I
OK, one mistake & one question: 1. The p. 24 tag (at the end of the signatures) didn't compile right because I put the colon in the wrong place. 2. Can anyone figure out why my headwords for "Title Page", "Declaration" and "Address" don't show up in the TOC? Thanks. I'm not going to repost the file until I have enough time
This issue seems to pop up randomly. For example, I've experienced it on both my Windows machine and my Mac, but none of my coworkers and none of the test machines had the same problem (just lucky, I guess. ) The issue has already been resolved and the fix to prevent this from happening will be included in a future update

  • Bug: Search results showing up in My Books

In the very latest update, when I do a Basic search on Entire Library, search hits in Bibles are now showing up in the My Books section rather than the Library Results section. For example, I searched on "demon" and got 365 results in My Books, for occurrences in NKJV, NRSV, NIV84, etc. (along with thousands of hits in other resources properly showing
