• Re: A New Index Every Time?

SOLVED - Just to give a closing update to anyone who might have stumbled across this after encountering the same problem, I wanted to post the solution. I did reach out to tech support (which was a terrible experience) and ultimately, what ended up working for me was to delete all of the index logs that Dave mentions above combined with deleting the

  • Re: If you were researching the arrival of Christianity in Britain....

Not sure if they are available in Logos or not but I'd personally recommend as good starting points: Brown, Michelle P. How Christianity Came to Britain and Ireland. Oxford: Lion Hudson plc, 2006. Oliver, Neil. A History of Ancient Britain. London: Weidenfeld & Nelson, 2011. Moorhead, Sam and David Stuttard. The Romans Who Shaped Britain. London

  • Re: A New Index Every Time?

Thanks JT, Here are the newest logs. I emailed customer support but the auto-reply sounds like it's going to take a day or two to get back to me. In the meantime, I noticed that it appears the indexer gets to about 50% before it's "done." Maybe it is just appearing to complete? I'm not sure. Perhaps the logs can clarify? 2450.New Logs.zip

  • Re: A New Index Every Time?

Hi Dave, I deleted the 3 folders, restarted Logos, allowed the index to complete, closed Logos, and then reopened Logos and the indexing started all over again. Any other suggestions you might know to try?

Hi JT and Scott, Thanks for posting and offering your help. I really appreciate it. To answer your questions: 1. I have 1.24 TB of free space on the drive. I haven't run a health check (not sure how to do that) but no other programs have shown any signs of problems. 2. I have allowed indexing to finish each time (I just happened to grab the logs after

  • A New Index Every Time?

Hey all, Quick question for you. Normally Logos runs along fine and I never have any problems. However, today I noticed that every time I open up Logos on my PC it starts a new index. (Not a short index for a new book, I'm talking the looooong index). I haven't purchased any new books and it doesn't say anything new has downloaded. My PC is powerful

  • New ZECOT and ZECNT on Pre-Pub

Hey all, For those of you that enjoy the Zondervan Exegetical Commentary series I just noticed that two new ones have been added to pre-pub: Revelation: https://www.logos.com/product/187043/revelation Nahum: https://www.logos.com/product/187080/nahum-a-discourse-analysis-of-the-hebrew-bible Just thought I'd post this in case others had missed it too

I am teaching through Galatians and I am considering getting it in this series. Would anyone be able to upload a screenshot of Gal 4:3 ? (in particular στοιχεῖα

  • Re: Mass move of old highlight files to 'no notebook'
I don’t like the ”no notebook” option for one simple reason. All of your highlights and notes are lumped together and you have no way of selectively turning their display on or off. It’s all or nothing.
I had this same frustration which is why I waited more than 6 months before I made the jump

  • Re: Bible highlights disappeared in iOS app

I had the same problem last week with the ESV and one of my devices (but not the other one). I sent my logs to support and this is what they said: Thank you for contacting us! This is a known issue throughout the Logos app, our developers are currently working on a fix. We are hoping that this can be fixed server-side without the need to wait for the

  • Re: Highlights but not Notes

So I've had some time to upgrade and re-read through this thread and I realize that I haven't used very good terminology which I think is leading to some confusion as to what I am trying to accomplish so I'd like to try to re-clarify what I'm trying to do. 1. As I understand it, the perk of the new notes system is that, except for specific situations
In a future release, it would be possible to drag Notebooks from the Documents menu.
Came to the forums searching for a solution to adding a specific notebook to my favorites. Just wanted to update the thread for others that this is now possible.

  • Re: Highlights but not Notes

Thanks Graham, that confirms that my problem still remains. Using that method is a good way to see only the highlights. What I'm struggling with is that the default method for notes and highlights is no longer a "resource specific notebook" but "no notebook" and it's cumbersome to have to select a notebook for each and every highlight/note. So if I

  • Re: Pastors, How do you use illustrations with Logos?
The illustrations that I have added to my notes are not only tagged, but also anchored to specific verses with an orange star so I know that there is an illustration I believed to be relevant to that particular verse. It serves as a bit of a wake up call to me in my prep. Also, I find when looking for illustrations

  • Re: Highlights but not Notes

Thanks Graham, I'll try to upgrade in a few days to check. In the meantime, by using that filter and selecting "highlights" or "notes" would that show me only the highlights or notes as opposed to the entire resource text? What I'm wanting to do is to read through a commentary with only the highlights and notes that are for that specific commentary

  • Re: Citation Linking and Notes

Thanks Reuben, but if I turn off the Copy Citations setting, then when I cut and paste from a resource into a note, it doesn't include the citation and hyperlink - It's only the text. What I'm trying to accomplish is to copy something from a resource and paste it into a note with it including a hyperlinked citation (just like in L7). However, unlike
