• Re: Feature Request - Complete half implemented feature on bible reference box.

I know that if you click on a verse and use the shortcut ctrl-g and then hit enter the passage changes focus without scrolling the verse to the top. I have created a macro that does this automatically with a left click hold (just hold the left click for a split second longer than usual). It also highlights the verse number so you know what the new focus

  • Re: OK, I'm getting discouraged, tell me something good, please

I like the power lookup feature. I like the way it can be made to automatically lookup cross references in the bible. I also like the way you can right click on a verse to get a quick lookup of various commentaries. Overall I love the way that things can be made to follow automatically if you want them to,

Ditto on that! This feature would be extremely handy. However, The change should happen only when the verse number itself is clicked on. If it happened by just clicking anywhere you would not be able to add highlitghing etc. without the focus changing.
Did you find any shortcut key to toggle the grouping? Does anyone out there know a shortcut key for linking resources?
There is no native shortcut that I know of that allows the links to be toggled on and off or for setting them. You can use alt- to open the menu then hit the letter L to set the focus on the links

  • Re: Feature Request - Complete half implemented feature on bible reference box.

I didn't think of doing it that way. That's a good way of doing it. Still, it would be nice to have it happen with less clicks and mouse movement but that is just my want of "instant" talking (we often are looking to shave off a second or two or even a split second from anything we do on the computer nowadays). What do you think about the idea of having
Well, it looks it should work with the clicking the little blue arrow in the reference box.
Everything updates as you click the blue arrow and this is an easier way of doing the ctrl-g enter senario I used but I would like to see the focus passage in the center of the screen so you can see the surrounding verses

  • Re: need help with info window

I have it set up to be as inclusive as possible but still it only shows 3 or 4 resources when I have several more it could draw on as well. Could the way resources are prioritized have anything to do with the limited # of resources showing? I'm hoping someone might have had a similar thing happen and found a solution.

  • BUG?

With the bible search set to search all text in NT in NASB with match all word forms when I do a search on the word guilt I only get the word guilt showing in my hits but not guilty. I tried with the word full and did get other hits such as fullness. Shouldn't I get all forms of the word guilt showing? When I put in the word guilty it does give me hits

  • SUGGESTION: select multiple collections in search

Is there any way to select multiple collections in a search? If not then this would be a great addition to the search capability.

  • timeline of history of Israel?

Is there a timeline somewhere that shows the history of Israel along with kings, wars fought (babylonian captivity etc.), prophets etc. so you can see the relationship between all these things at a glance?

  • Re: timeline of history of Israel?

I didn't think of typing in the word timelines in a search and I did so and got a lot of results. Still if anyone has a suggestion for an all in one timeline that has been helpful to them I would appreciate it. It would really be helpful to see a timeline that has all the above along with books of the Bible as they pertain to the events.

What is the purpose of that section. All it does for me is highlight the selected word in the verse I am currently focussed on???

  • SUGGESTION: Power Lookup

I noticed that the size of the power lookup window effects just how much of the preview you see for each resource. Just try right clicking on a verse and select that reference in the right click menu and then selct power lookup. You will see some bibles with that verse followed by comentaries. start with the window 1/2 screen and pick one of the commentary

I'm not sure if this will work for you but I had 2 old Logos resources and was able to import them using the scan command in the command bar (scan "directory of resources"). I put the two resources in a directory by themselves and then ran the command (without quotes). I then closed L4 and reopened and they were recognized. The license was not an issue

I know that L4 is based on a new programming platform. Could it be that there is something inherently wrong with the programming platform that needs to be fixed?
