  • Re: Library Side Bar - Collections

Thanks for your response Andrew. I am disappointed. Maybe you can help me understand the value of the "collections" section of the Library sidebar. As I understand it, collections is a means by which we can reduce the book volume in order to search our library more effectively. The Library sidebar is, I assume - since it is called filters, for the same

To "whom-ever" the tech person is that is playing with fixing the collections ordering in the library sidebar .... THANK YOU! I know it isn't fixed yet but my collections sidebar popped back and forth from the way it has been ... to alphabetical order. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Please keep it up ... we are watching and anxiously awaiting this

  • Library Side Bar - Collections

I have built my collections to give me the quickest access to resources I use all the time. The Library sidebar organizes the collections by the number of volumes in the collection instead of the order listed in collections. Is there a way to alter the order displayed in the sidebar?

  • Re: Logos 4/5 Notes

OK, I used it quite a bit yesterday and it works great. It will provide spell checking for EVERY windows program at any level in the program. Includes multiple language dictionaries and Thesaurus. If you want spell checking in Logos notes - this if definitely and option.

Since it sounds (at this point) like there is no spell check option available in Logos, I started to look for plug-ins that might work. I found an application called "Spell Check Anywhere." I have downloaded it on a free 7 day trial. Appears to work and it will spell check my Logos Note files (as well as any other place a spell check might be needed

  • Logos 4/5 Notes

I am currently looking for 2 things in the notes that are, for me, pretty important. They may be there and I just missed them or may be available as some sort of plug-in or extension. 1. I would like to have the underline option inside the note. 2. I would really like to be able to spell check the note contents. Can anyone tell me if those options are

  • Re: Selling Logos 4 rather than upgrading to Logos 5

I think you are right on target. I have been reading a lot of the posts complaining that somehow they are getting cheated by a requirement to spend a huge sum of money to buy a package they already own. For those who think this is the case, after lots of reading and my own personal choice to purchase a package BEFORE the minimal engine is available

Stand back and listen to yourselves. We have been clearly, politely and bluntly asked to cease and desist. If you can't respect those around you then at least respect the company sponsoring the forum. It's on their dime and I find the help too valuable to lose because you can't play nicely together. I have seen school children get along better than

  • Re: Expositor's Bible Commentary -- Original vs. Revised

I put in my pre-pub order today. You will still have the original EBC plus the new revised version. Some of the same authors are in the revised version but I understand that most of the authors have changed. It maintains the same theological perspective as the orginial commentary set. Therefore, you basically get a completely new set of commentaries

  • Help with Printing

I would like to be able to print from notes or print bible text with my visual filters showing up on the print out. Is there a way to do that. For example I might want to print Genesis 1 and 2 with a filter that highlights every time the word "yom" is used, etc. Any help or ideas? Thanks.

  • Scroll bar issues

Logos has included a feature in the scroll bar that jumps to frequently used locations (if I understand it correctly). Is there a way to toggle that feature on and off. I waste a lot of time going back because it jumps to places I don't want to go. Or conversely, maybe I don't know how to use or maximize the feature (actually...no maybes about it).

  • Re: Feeling overwhelmed and contemplating canceling the service

Welcome Christopher. I am not a master of the program but I have been using it a long time. I hope I can offer some help. First, think of Logos as a research assistant. If you ask your "assistant" to pull what they can find about a topic, you may have loads of books to review and sort through. However, if you ask your assistant to look through your

  • Please, Please, Please...Put spell check in the program.

Logos is a wonderful (and overwhelming at times) program that gives us all a "research assistant" at our fingertips. However, please consider a few less resource products this year AND putting those resources into providing a spell checker for the notes & clips portion of Logos. While I could write them in Word, spell check them and then copy them to

  • Re: Crappy sales for Pastor's month

There has already been some commentary to these comments. I guess I would ask if the spirit in which it was written was grateful or bitter? Seems to me that if someone offers us a special price, isn't that a blessing...even if we elect not to take it. Kind of reminds me of the parable of the workers and their wage. If logos wants to give us a discount

I've been trying to understand where you are coming from but I really don't. I have been using Logos since it came on a few 3 1/2 inch disks. The program has always evolved for the better. The company has always thrown in freebies along the way. Some things have gone by the wayside due to copyright permissions. I have items that I currently can't access
