  • Re: We live in the best of times!

This septuagenarian agrees that we are blessed beyond our wildest imaginings because "those folks" in Bellingham, starting with Bob, have such wild imaginations. May the God who has blessed us so abundantly make us blessings to others, "Blessed to be a blessing" as the Bethel Bible Study folks say

It's a tad late to respond to Bob Pritchett's post of Nov 7, 2009. But gratitude never expires, so my heartiest thanks for keeping at the alignment of Aland's Greek Synopsis Steve

  • Re: Is there a shortcut for highlighting?

Hi, Ron, This way is almost what you want. Go to Tools>Highlighting>right click on the color or emphasis you want>click Shortcut Key and the down arrow beside it>click a letter of the alphabet (for example "R" for red highlighting or for "Red Foreground" if you prefer that). Then close highlighting. Now use your mouse/cursor to highlight what you want

Hi, Melissa, Thanks for noting that "[t]yping speed in the rich text editior . . . is improved in 4.0c." I thought , "My, this is better!" but didn't realize it was part of the update. Thanks even more for the improvement itself Gratefully, Steve

  • Greek Discourse Workshop

Just in case you missed the Logos Blog post for April 22nd, here is why I'm really excited. After strugglineg with the concepts in the Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament Bundle , I knew I needed help. So I'm glad author Steve Runge's Discourse Grammar of the New Testament is scheduled to ship on April 28th. Then, when I saw he is offering a Greek

Hi, Michael, I may have missed someone else's suggestion to this effect , having skimed rapidly: have you clicked the down arrow to the right of the three linked circles and made sure "Highlighting" is checked? My Greek Visua Filter/Markup has worked for NA27 and is working now for NAXXVII (the latter in the SESE, thus a different morphology) and can

Greetings, Folks, Amy, I think urging the Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft to add a German-English dictionary is a great idea. In fact, later today I'll email the request to them with a link to this thread. And blessings on Phil Gons for working on a public domain dictionary in the meantime. It's great that those of you with more German and bibliographical

Hey, Phil, I was afraid you guys in Bellingham would never join in on this conversation. Many thanks for doing so:-) I'd be delighted to start the bidding on a public domain German dictionary on Community Pricing. But I'm no help on which dictionary to go for, apart from making sure it is not in the (old) Gothic font. Thank you again for a capital idea

Greetings, Rosie and Amy, Amy, I'm sorry your trial version won't work with L3. My download continues to work well with L3, as recently as this morning. Rosie, thanks for taking time to respond with cogent suggestions. My Dictionary works with some, but not all other apps and some but all all web pages. With L4 all I get is a Collins message: "Unable

  • Re: Would it be Possible to Have English-German dictionary ?

Guten Morgen, Bruder Dan, I bought The Concise Collins German Dictionary as a download. I can copy/paste words into it and click Enter. But in L3 all I needed to do was rest the cursor on a word and click a hotkey. The definition would come up and I could click to hear the lemma pronounced. I repeat, this app is not related to Logos in any way, but

  • Re: Would it be Possible to Have English-German dictionary ?

Good morning, Rosie, Thanks for your reply. But I still don't understand why the Collins Concise German Dictionary, an app completely outside/separate/distinct from Logos 3, brings up an English definition of a German word when the cursor is on the German word and the hotkey is clicked, yet this won't work in Logos 4. Here's a description of the Collins

  • Re: Would it be Possible to Have English-German dictionary ?

Some time back I submitted a "Suggestion" (aka "Request") that a German-English dictionary be added. I even suggested that Logos add The Collins Concise German - English Dictionary. In L3 I could hover on a German word and click a hot key to bring up the definition. For some reason that functionality disappeared in L4 - I now have to type the word into

  • Suggestion: drawing mode

I think it would be great if we could change highlighters in drawing mode without a mouse. Put another way, although "Help" speaks of zooming with a mouse wheel, "Logos 4 Keyboard Shortcuts" points out that we can zoom with Ctrl + = or Ctrl + - or Ctrl + 0, so how about keystrokes for changing highlighters? Blessings all around, Steve
