• Re: I-phone book search

Thank you for answering my question. It seems to be working if you can figure out what those cryptic names that are listed once you tap "Entire Library" mean. The book I am reading right now is listed as WFSE and I have a few more that I was reading with similar cryptic names (SNT, PAAEV2, IDBS). It would help if instead of those we could see the actual

  • Re: 4.2 beta: Reading View Paged View... First Looks.. What are your thoughts ?

Tablet notebook here (Lenovo S10-3T). Page navigation in full screen reading view would be wonderful. Love the paged view feature. I bought my netbook so I can read the books in my library when on the go or on the couch in my living room. These improvements will make reading a lot more practical and enjoyable (and will make me want to buy more books

I have 193MB available and 3.7GB on my SD card. I am running on version 2.2.1. Getting this to work on my device would be great. It would mean having two devices in one: a Windows 7 tablet netbook on which I can run Logos and an Android tablet for reading and other Android appliocations and all this for 300$. Beat that Ipad! :-)

  • Re: You chose an Android tablet over an iPad--mind telling which one and why? (and other questions)

I also use an Acer Iconia 16G with a 16G SD chip. Got mine for 299 plus tax at Walmart. Works very well. I would like to see the Android app catch up with the iphne app.

  • Android 0.9.0 version Bug?

It looks like all the books I previously downloaded to my tablet are giving a "Navigation Failed" error. They look like they are still on my tablet in Library but can't navigate to them unless I remove them first and download them again. Having to do this for all the books I downloaded to my tablet will be quite a hassle. Does anyone else have this

  • Re: Would this be a good feature? Being able to instantly identify your "local" resources?

One thing you can do for now is put your device in airplane mode. That will filter out anything that is not downloaded to your device. Resource management is definitely an area that has plenty of room for improvement.

  • 0.9.0 Major resource download annoyance

It seems to me that downloading resources has taken a step back not forward. Logos claims that one of the areas of improvement in this release is "Resource download/install/uninstall experience" but I don't see it. I haven't downloaded resources to my tablet in a while but due to the bug here http://community.logos.com/forums/t/38468.aspx I had to redownload
Hey George, Big thanks for the apk link. Re-installed from the link and the scripture links are back to normal! I guess you don't know what you really miss until it's gone, but this feature is a very cool, convenient, and now critical one for me. Now, I can use this apk as a default backup! Thanks again kind Sir
NB. rather than use airplane mode you can turn off "packet data" (Mobile network settings) and still receive telephone calls!
I'm not sure what settings are available on Roberto's device. I hope out of all the suggestions that were made here he will find one that is useful to him. In my case, I am using a tablet so

  • Re: Downloading Logos Library Books to SD Card?

This lack of clarity is confusing a lot of people because many people buy tablets and expect the same behavior from Logos that they experienced on the phone: install logos on the phone and then move it to the SD card. Based on this a lot of people assume that purchasing a 8-16G internal memory tablet for applications with a 16 or 32 G SD card for Logos

  • Re: Bug: Wrong word in Bible word study

Something similar occurs in NASB in 1 Pet 1:13 but the pop-up info lists the same word for every long pressed word. When long pressing on any word in "prepare your minds for action" the word σύ is displayed every time. It works fine on ipad/iphone. I've run into this problem a few times in NASB.

Had to change my post to avoid confussing people. I downgraded to 0.9.2 beta 2 and got rid of the problem until Logos publishes the fix.

My mistake here. I forgot that after testing it on Friday, I downgraded to the beta version. That is why it was working well today. :-)

  • Ministers who do not know Manton need not wonder if they are themselves unknown - C.H. Spurgeon

I would like to see Manton move forward. It's been stuck around 50% for a while now. To the Baptists (reformed or otherwise) "The Complete Works of Thomas Manton" should be of interest (not because he was a Baptist but because of what Spurgeon said about him). To those with interest in the puritans he should be of interest because he was one of them

  • Borrow, lend, lease books

Since Logos has all these books available that most people will never be able to buy but would like to use every now and then and since it seems to me that Logos already has a way of tracking the user licenses why not offer a book borrowing/leasing service? I know there may be issues with the publishers that need to be ironed out but Logos itself is

  • Re: Borrow, lend, lease books

I agree that user to user transactions would be more difficult to implement, but borrowing/leasing from Logos would not be that complicated. Monthly subscriptions or per book fees would be able to offset the costs and even make Logos some money. My suggestion was something to be considered down the road.

  • Re: Are you going to buy The Works of Jonathan Edwards (29 Vols.)?

I could also buy a Bugatti Veiron. If I had the money, that is. Both the Bugatti and Edwards are too expensive for me.
