  • MacBook Pro and High Sierra freezes running Logos 7

I recently upgraded to high sierra and now a few minutes after starting Logos, the whole machine hangs and the only way out is to hold the power button down to hard shutdown the system. Other apps I'm running seem to be fine and there are no hangs. Logos worked fine in Sierra 10.12, so I am thinking it might be some clash between Logos 7 and 10.13.

  • Re: Fusion Drive

I have an older 2014 Mac Mini with standard 1TB HD in it.Logos was unbearably slow with the standard HD. It is easy to attach a USB3.0 external SSD drive to the mac mini and use that to create your own fusion drive. So I did that and it is an amazing improvement in speed. Don't know how the Apple Fusion works but the performance is like a straight SSD

  • Re: EEC for 2017

The Amos, Jonah, & Micah volume was due on May 1st and hasn't been published and no word on its new date. So I think a very minimal chance that Philippians (or any other volume in the EEC) will be published anywhere near the estimated release dates. Not sure the point of Logos giving the dates when they are always missed. Seems rather unprofessional

  • Re: Calling Kaplan Customers!

Over the last 2 or 3 years, I have never found any deal from a direct salesperson that is better than the standard online website prices. And as mentioned here, sometimes the salesperson price is higher. I think it is a bit misleading when I receive emails from Logos sales saying "I may get you a special price" when they mean I can give you the current

  • Re: March Madness: Raymond Brown issue

Oh that is a pity I was hoping to get the gospel of John book on its own because when I add the collection it comes up as this bargain price ... (I have all the other volumes in the collection but it costs more to complete the collection than to buy the individual volume)

  • Re: B&H's Exegetical Guide to the Greek New Testament - Moo, Kostenberger, Harris, Yarbrough, & Forbes have all contributed

WS still have the 5 vol set on sale for $49.95. I guess when B&H said it was only dealing with BibleWorks and Accordance they also include WordSearch in this deal (I think their books sometimes work in BibleWorks). I couldn't see it in the BibleWorks and Accordance website anywhere for sale as a separate item. Only on WS.

  • Re: Graceway Media+Igniter Media account linking

Thanks, that would be great if you could support that account linking. at the moment I can still search for the media from Proclaim which is handy. It is just an extra manual process to then download from igniter and import.

  • Re: Graceway Media+Igniter Media account linking

Hi Yes there is the "Igniter Originals" item, but when I select that, there is nothing under the "Owned" tab in the left Collections pane. If I click "Store", then all the Igniter stuff appears but Proclaim asks me to pay for using any of it. Proclaim doesn't recognise that I own all Igniter media as part of my Graceway+Igniter subscription. So I don

  • Graceway Media+Igniter Media account linking

Hi I have got a combined Graceway Media + Igniter Media subscription. I can link the Graceway Media fine with Proclaim and the graceway stuff appears under "Owned". But the Igniter Media part of the subscription is not being linked, and still appears under "Store" Is there currently anyway to link the Igniter Media subscription? And if not is this due

  • Re: High CPU usage when Logos is just being idle

Hi, I tried that but apart from a few seconds spike when a new resource was turned on and the home page repainted, there was no real CPU increase after any of the options. I am finding that the Media window does not always cause the high CPU usage. It doesn't in another layout I have for the sermon on the mount.

Well, I just killed the "Media" window, and Logos drops to less than 1% CPU usage. But the Media window wasn't doing anything that I could see. It was just displaying graphic. Those Logos CEF processes are now using 0 to 3% CPU now. Is the Media window doing something all the time in the background? I displayed the Media window by clicking a Joel bible

  • High CPU usage when Logos is just being idle

I've noticed that the Windows Logos 7 program is using 25 to 40% of CPU usage when I have it open, but not actually interacting with it at all. The indexer is not running (finished indexing a while ago). Is there anything useful that Logos is actually doing that is causing this CPU usage? I've attached a typical output from task manager. 57% CPU usage

  • Re: Evangetical Exegetical Commentary for 2016

I think it is Exodus and Esther in the print version that is going to be available soon. They've been available in Logos format for a few years. I realize that the dates are just estimates, and like encyclopedia brittanica there are many unknown variables that cause delays (and those are just the known unknown variables, never mind the unknown unknown

Doesn't help you to know the dates, but I thought this line on the Logos EEC website page about the release dates was quite amusing ... "All release dates are rough estimates and subject to many unknown variables."

  • Re: Copy to powerpoint

Ah, thanks. I think I see what was happening now. When I right click on a picture, Logos was actually highlighting not just the picture but text before and after the picture. So I have to click that Image link on the popup that appears when I right click. Then Logos just highlights the picture. And the Send to Powerpoint command then appears in the

  • Copy to powerpoint

I think I used to see an option when I right clicked a picture in a Logos resource that was something like "Send to Powerpoint". That was really useful - saved doing a screen capture to paste a picture into powerpoint. But when I tried today, I just see "Send to Proclaim". Is that something that has changed recently, or have I turned off some setting
