• Re: Different Editions/Translations of Barth's Dogmatics?

I think you're probably right. The page citation is probably a typo and referencing KD (p. 493 instead of 453). What I don't understand, though, is why the author would make his own translation but cite the English translation of the second edition. I may just have to live with the mystery. Anyway, thanks for looking it up in KD for me!

  • Different Editions/Translations of Barth's Dogmatics?

This isn't a big issue, but as Barth is on sale this month, I'll ask. I'm reading Retrieving Eternal Generation and on p. 132 I came across a Barth quote: Assuredly generatio and processio verbi must be regarded as describing the same material content. But not in such a way that one of these concepts may simply be reduced to the other.… The two

  • Re: Tripartite ontology of man? Bizarre Idea?

You may have better search results if you search for "trichotomy" than "tripartite." The former term is used more frequently. Trichotomy is a longstanding minority viewpoint within the church. A good history of theology should give you some idea of its acceptance & rejection, and most systematic theologies should have at least some discussion of
Thanks Sean, we are investigating.
Thanks, I got an email from CS. Both of the plans I'm using on the phone started syncing but it took a long time--as in, one synced yesterday, one finally did today. Don't know what's going but I don't have time to experiment further right now.

Well, I've gone ahead and reported the problem with logs as described in the stickied post, so hopefully this will get some attention. Ah, I see this is a syncing problem. I flipped back in the book and found the bars back a few days earlier than they should be. Opening the reading plan document, I see it's not syncing the days I checked off on the desktop. Restarting the app and pressing the sync now option didn't do anything to rectify it. I hate syncing problems. It's probably going

  • Android: Reading Plans not Showing in Resource

I'm pretty sure I saw a thread on this recently but I can't find it. In the last couple days the reading plan start/end bar disappeared from all my resources on my phone. They do display on the home page. I updated to the latest version, but it didn't fix the problem. Rebooting didn't help either. Phone is a Redmi 5 with Android 8.1.0..., if that matters

Thanks for starting this thread, MJ, otherwise I probably would have been unaware I was getting this resource. (Interestingly, I had to restart Logos for it to see the download was available.) I'm sure I'll use this frequently.

Good suggestion. I'm right now reading through NIGTC on Mark that was given away a couple months ago. It refers to Thomas fairly frequently--it'd be great to have it in this for easy comparison.

Just a wild guess until the more knowledgeable stop by--have you tried restarting Logos? I had this problem for a while that only restarting would fix--though that was a few releases ago. It's worth a try if you haven't.

Good advice, but it's sad that it's necessary. Logos should perform better off the shelf. As one of the have-nots when it comes to SSDs, I don't mind some performance issues with Logos. I don't mind if startup is slow or that indexing takes time--I don't even mind searches being slow as I don't do all that many of them. I'm more bothered by seemingly
