  • Re: turn of searches in apocrypha

For that, generally for Bible searches you want to choose "Old & New Testament" not "Entire Bible" as your range. Note, though, that the fuzzy Bible search as designed skips the defined range and will include references to the apocrypha. I'm not sure exactly what kind of search you did in the picture you attached, but I hope this helps.

  • Re: Translations of the Apocrypha?

In my library: New American Bible (NAB) Common English Bible (CEB) Revised English Bible (REB) New English Bible (NEB--older version of the REB) Plus the ones others have mentioned. I've also recently learned the ESV has an edition of the apocrypha, but I'm not sure if it's in Logos. The NAB is really good for the book introductions and notes. The others

Wow. That sounds like a good one. Bavinck's Dogmatics is a great resource. I'm always on the lookout for (but sadly, rarely satisfied with) complete works in systematics under 1000 pages.

[quote user="Levi Durfey"] The method I use is that I make sure I close the book I am reading when I am done (and give the device a moment to sync). When I open it again on another device, it opens to the last location. The key is to close the book when you are done reading. • Re: Faithlife Connect Subscription - SHOULD WE SUBSCRIBE STILL??

I enjoyed Logos Now while I had it. I did not at all like the changes that came about when it became Connect. I made my peace with the coupon they gave when I dropped my subscription. So far I've not had any cause to regret that. It's not nearly that deal that it was originally. Like M.J. said, whether it's right for you will be up to individual factors

On the one hand, I fear the slippery slope. On the other hand, some many "Logos editions" I have in my library are very lacking in hyperlinks to other resources that would be expected. It's almost a roll of the dice when you get a new book anyway. Also, I do understand that much of the tagging is probably not very useful for a lot resources, like the

I had already gotten most of the Starter packages last year, but this is generally a good strategy. The Starters have a lot of basic, simple reference resources that range far beyond their packages' denominational labels. I finally got around to getting Verbum Ordinariate Bronze at a great price. This package has a lot to offer people with a wide range

These are the two paste options in Word that include the FN text--Keep Formatting and Merge Formatting: From that button, you can go in and change the options for "default paste from other programs." Mine is set to "Text Only", so Word rightly did not copy over the Logos FNs.

In before M.J. chimes in with much fuller information-- I make it a habit of reading through the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonicals every few years. In my current Bible reading program, I'm presently in the Apocrypha. I'm reading it in the REB; the NEB, and I just found out, the CEB also have it. RSV/NRSV is good for a more literal translation. My favorite
