• Performance: Should be obvious, but... Defrag it!

Okay, so maybe half the Logos world knows this already, but I thought I'd share. TL,DR : Defragment your non-SSD hard disk even if Windows tells you it doesn't need it. In the last few months, performance on my relatively new-ish Windows 10 system has deteriorated dramatically. It's most visible in Logos 8, but it's affected other programs as well.
Are you joking? Where do you read all that?
From decades and decades of reading evangelical assessments of other viewpoints.

  • Re: Suggestions for Logos 9 Base Packages

Although I have enjoyed the denominational base packages the last few versions, if we're playing make-a-Logos, I'd like to see discipline-specific packages: systematic theology, NT studies, OT studies, Jewish studies, church history, pastoral, etc. etc. It would be a good way for people who have been around through several upgrades to round out their

  • Re: L8 Performance improved but still subpar

Agreed. Logos 8 is faster than 7, but I've noticed it's slowed down quite a bit with the various service releases. And, guides do not populate properly; usually I have to open and close them a few times before they start to respond.
Does your computer have an SSD? I have this problem too. It's a standing bug in Logos 8. We've talked about it more in this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/174981.aspx

  • Re: Disabling the Carousel Feature

I've had this problem too, but the back button/panel history usually lets you get back to where you were. (Doesn't it?)
Whatever its flaws, I use this feature to great benefit (in L3, L5, and L7), so I want to be sure no one gets the idea that this is an unwanted feature that has outlived its usefulness. • Re: Excerpts Missing from Homepage

You are not alone; many have asked for this feature to be restored. Hopefully it will be at some point. You can enter "FSD" in the command box for "Facilitate Serendipitous Discovery" and it will call up a random excerpt from your library. It's not quite the same, however.

  • Re: Excerpts Missing from Homepage

Hi. Sorry but the answer to all of your questions is "No." They took away all these features in the revamp for version 8 (which is otherwise fairly good). Some of them are slowly trickling back in. Due to this lack of functionality, I've set Logos to automatically open to a layout rather than a home page. For your Bible reading plan issue, I suggest
So where does Israelology Fit in this scheme? Shalom
Israelology typically isn't a category in traditional systematics. Some dispensational works may have it as a formal locus, perhaps between anthropology-hamartiology (sin) and Christology. Others might discuss it under covenants in the same area, or might address

  • Re: Payment plan real world costs

I only buy packages towards the lower end of the scale, silver or lower (plus gold one time when I got really good dynamic pricing). At those levels, it's always worked out better to stick it on my credit card and pay it off on my terms. Logos payment plans are a better deal only at the higher levels. You just have to calculate the total service fee
